I'm sorry I'm sure this is a bonehead question but how do I get from Qeynos to TD?

Take the bell to Qeynos Harbor and go to the Sinking Sands carpet and zone to the Sinking Sands, head down towards the sand area and look for a carpet under the tents to the left. Right click the carpet, and select Butcherblock mountains. Run down the beach and you will see an anchor in the sand, start looking for a ramp on the right and take it up to the top, speak with the griffon guy and take the grif to TD.Don't wander off to far down the sandy areas in either zone or you will meet with some things that will kill you before you have time to turn and run, if you see them at all.

The simplest and cheapest way is to take the Sinking sands carpet in Qeynos harbor. Once in SS, RIGHT click the carpet under the left tent and select Butcherblock Mountain. If you click the carpet another way, it will bring you to Maj'dul.Once in BBM, Follow the shoreline until you see a small hill on the left with a griffin on top. Take the griffin to TD. If you are looking for the starting area, the simplest thing to do is to follow the mountian on the left side (look left when looking at the ocean). Go over the hill with the non aggro birds, under the large pipe and you should see a small tent like building with yet again, another griffin. Take that griffin to Chrykori island.Hopefully that will get you there... good luck!

The EQ2 website said that only Sarnaks can start in TD. Am I missing something? You post that neutral characters can start there as well.... I am confused.

It's true. Try it on the character creation screen:

All neutral races can start in TD, not just Sarnak.

All evil races can start in Neriak, not just Arasai.

Six "sylvan" races can start in Kelethin, not just Fae.

Together these three cities cover all but two races, I believe (Froglok and Halfling are stuck in <strike>Disneyland</strike>Qeynos).
