I heard a rumor that there is currently a set of armor on Test that has an intentionally bare appearance? Can anyone confirm?

Sleeves, forearms, gloves, shoes, and chest items (on a females it just shows the grunderwear top however, a bikini top would be better) show bare body parts for said areas.

Since females don't have a bare chest (the male one was added a few months into game), they get the rag top.One of the things mentioned as part of the mythical skeletal revamp is different "bare" clothes.

That said I was in the forum at fan fair last year where the guy was talking a bit about the skeletal revamp and he did say that they are going to change the Grunderwear(as you put it) into a Bra and panties set up, as apparently that makes making outfits that show skin far easier.

Given the recent outrage about the inadvertent "[Removed for Content] nerf" in AoC (with people actually threatening to quit over it, [Removed for Content]), I think its fair to say that there's a definite market advantage to updating the "grunderware" look .

I, for one, want to see alot more skin on all of our toons. I WANT loincloths, and I WANT chainmail bikinis. And PLEASE.. Don't tell me to go play something else to get it.. I love EQ2's overall concept and would not leave. I know, there are those of you, especially the ladies, who would not appreciate exposed chestables... But seeing as how we have the option to turn on and off weapons and cloaks, it wouldn't be hard to make a default shirt, such as the grunderwear we all have currently, to overlay the naughtybits for them with the check of a box in our persona window, that way their gameplay would be unaffected and those of us who would appreciate more mature clothing could have more of what we want. Also to keep up with the ever more mature industry which we are a part of, MANY people appreciate this stuff and we need to keep every player we can, and make some nice additions to our current gameplay experience...

(Insert the bard bashings below) - /wince

FYI.. You can already get rid of your gloves.. Go to TT and head up the falls near ToS... there are 3 levels of pools in the falls, each level spawns "a small cold snap" as a PH for a name. The MIDDLE level will spawn a mob named Thunderclap. He can drop [Rainsoaked Wrists] ... They're wearable by all classes and I believe they are level 40 gear... I have them for my char...

Buh..that new armour looks nice. Although too bad my poor little iksar can't go topless. She has nothing to show off and yet I still have to wear ugly underwear top. Although if the answer would be to do to iksar what they did to sarnak I will gladly keep the underwear top and just wear formal wear.

For anyone that doesn't know what they did with sarnak is that all sarnak wear male clothing and such. That's how the devs wanted to allow female sarnak to have bare chests I guess, but it sucks not being able to wear dresses and such.

All the same... I agree and join the want for more skin revealing armour types. I play an iksar and I would love to be able to show off her pretty scales instead of covering them up in armour that must be uncomfortable to wear. Right now all I have is formal wear and dresses and they're getting so very old. I like the old practical armour too but it would be nice to have a choice. Even if it were just fluff clothing that we could equip in our appearance slots.

As a female player, I would not mind having skimpier armor and clothing options in the game. Fantasy is all about the dungeon pin up girls and darn it, I want to be able to play some too.

I'm liking some of the armor looks in AOC, especially that I show a bit more skin. It helps (as far as things being skimpy) that AOC is for mature players (my starting outfit was see through). Unfortunately AOC clothes don't really move. And no jiggle. Some of the emotes are nice. You can lay on your side, or prone, of dangle your feet while sitting on something.

(because, you know... all those 17yr olds and under have credit cards anyways???? LOL!Here's hoping they do all this and more to compete with AoC and stay on the bleeding edge of current standards
SOE wouldn't need to introduce nudity in order to 'catch up' (as it were) to AoC. Okay, so AoC ladies can flash their assets...big whoop. If you want your character to advance, you need to wear armor/robes when you do it, so it really isn't all that big an advantage. And what you wear is what you see - EQ2 has the definitive advantage in that regard. Personally, even though I bought AoC for the gore/beheading/evisceration factor, I would never expect EQ2 to suddenly start using these. And though AoC has some hilarious NPC dialogue, a lot of it treads the fine line between Teen and Mature, so I wouldn't expect EQ2 to suddenly start using stuff like that, either. What SOE can do to (and I do not think this is an exaggeration) knock AoC in the chops are things which are entirely possible.* Return Blissful Awareness to those people who earned it - do this by taking the information from their quest journals, as the actual articles - or rather, the steaming piles of excrement that were swapped in to replace it - may have been sold off or tossed. Substituting a dirty Taliban potato sack for a garment which saw level 60 characters coming back just to get this garment was, in all truth, theft. All the spewed pablum the developers tried to hand us to justify taking it away was pathetic, insulting, and quite frankly, unethical. Returning the garment (preferably with an apology - posted to these boards, if nothing else, although I am not quite stupid enough to expect it) would be an enormous first step. Yes, I am still incredibly sore about this. Maybe we have some devs now who might take steps to correct this?* Return gis back to the brawler class as an exclusive garment - but introduce sleeveless vests and half-vests, chest strappings (yes, even for females - in a fantasy game such things can be strategically placed) attractive robes (you know - the type distaff spellcasters would wear, not the nun's outfits they're saddled with), ruffled shirts (I think my conjurer would make a great ratonga version of Jack Sparrow), tight leggings, short skirts, slick riding boots (maybe with spurs?), sashes, baldrics, and for pity's sake, some fluff headgear - I think a ratonga or kerra in a fez (Shriners of Norrath, anyone?) would be hilarious. And yes - chainmail bikinis. They're a good idea - deal with it.* Get rid of the unwashed, rancid-looking pajamas, and give them actual undergarments. I realize that, for all the supposed 'attention to realism' BS we've been force-fed, that is simply impossible - actual 'undergarments' in a comparable time period on Earth were vastly different from what they would have to use to avoid a Mature rating, so I am not expecting miracles. Then again, asking for just undergament-y stuff might just be expecting a miracle. No other MMO - at least none that I've played (and I have played a few) - saddles a character with rancid puke like what a post-Shattering Norrathian has to wear.* Evening wear (no, I do not mean lingerie, although I would not be opposed to seeing a non-SOGA Koada'Dal lady in something like that). Formal evening gowns, elegant jackets, fitted matching trousers/skirts, classy dress shoes/boots - they must have introduced the concept of these things sometime in Norrath's history...right?EQ2 has so much potential...all it needs is for some of the devs to pull their heads out of the sand and just say 'no' to the Taliban.Sure, we have all heard about the 'skeletal revamp' that might see this much-needed change come about - I've also heard about unicorns, honest politicians, and the Sugarplum Fairies.(I apologize for the parts of this post that have come across as caustic or bitter - but even if it is ignored (as I fully expect), it seems to be the best way to get the entire point across)

(( I hope the EQ2 art director is reading threads like these.RL Female after RL female asking for SKIMPIER clothing... MORE OPTIONS..... more RISQUE things..... MORE SKIN!!!Showing skin is not just for the adolescent males to enjoy.... females like feeling desireable and attractive too.If the game expects us to live vicariously through our characters and 'play the role',.... Give us something to work with here. Give us more adult options. What we have now is the equivalent to the Sims (with no option to create custom clothing, and no option to remove the mosaic-censoring effect =P) (If people didnt develop workarounds for those, the game would have died within a month of its release =P)(not asking for the ability to make custom clothing, just drawing some parallels here. No choice for skimpy or risque clothing = people leave for a game where they can truly dress how they want.EQ2 players are not old ladies or nuns who want to hide every inch of skin.... we should not be forced to endure a limited wardrobe that only allows such and nothing more.---
