After years of playing EQ1 and EQ2, Im calling it quits. Ive been waiting month after month for the SK class to get fixed or even just some simple acknowledgement from the devs on the state of the class. As all of you know we simply get ignored and that's horrible customer service. So After giving SOE the benifit of the doubt and sticking around for so long just to be dissapointed that SOE really doesnt care about the SK class or the community, Im done. IMHO things wont change till they hire some real devs who actually look at the game in its entirety and not just at the Dark Elf Assassin. Which apparently he isn't very good at anyway. I may come back if they ever decide to fix the class, but it will be hard considering the Customer service this communtiy has recieved. Good luck to everyone and Enjoy the game

I just canceled last month, prior to the legends event. I had played everquest1 since it opened, and switched to everquest2 when it came out, got all the expansions and packs for both while playing them. I played a warlock pre-rok, raiding content included. I started a sk for something to do before rok came out, and fell in love with the class. I loved playing in "fast-forward" as on cleric called it - non-stop pulling until the healers were crying for mercy, then taking one more pull. I could solo, explore zones somewhat, even did tradeskilling until just before hitting my master quest at 80. I finally got sick though, of after putting untold number of hours into a class, with both tradeskills and adventuring, that if I continued to play a class that no one wanted or needed except in pre-rok zones that I would only end up seeing a fraction of the zones in the game. So, I finally hung up my hat after years of playing. I didn't feel like repeating myself to pick a class that was sub-par in the minds of raiding guilds. Somehow I managed to pick all the "[Removed for Content]" classes - warlock, shadowknight and coercer as my highest toons. Warlock epic is a joke compared to wizard, and without aoe pulling their dps is pretty sucktacular in rok, not to mention I would have to work up to 80 before seeing anything of import, what with server populations and all...coercer saw some nice changes, but again - it would be soloing until I was raidable, and putting a "LFG" flag up for hours at a time while I soloed was just getting old. Besides, the SK was the one I wanted to play. So now, a month later I still kind of miss it. I tried to log in after supposedly all accounts were re-activated and found out that for whatever reason, mine never was. (I assume it had something to do with falling through the cracks, with my cancel date and the reactivation of other accounts - I was/am in good standing).

Long story short, I don't see me returning to play a class that raiders don't need, groups don't want (post-rok zones) unless I feel like soloing my way up until I get the rest of my aa's.

Thanks for the years of fun, Eq!

Yeah...couldn't even use my original account to post - as my account is no longer active.

7x Sk/7x Alchemist, 7x Warlock, 6x Coercer and a host of others.

I figure that over the years, as sad as it sounds, I've probably spent a few thousand dollars on the EQ games, just on subscription fees (had double accounts in eq1), not to mention all the expansions...
