since the last update, I've been having increased problems with computer memory and lag. My secondary single core processor computer has started occassionally having eq just crash with either out of video or just regular out of main memory errors. The other computer, i've had two instances of eq2 going, and found myself with 140k out of 2 gig of memory left, and the cpu at 95+ percent usage. Since the last hotfix, some things have been better, but this extreme computer problems haven't gotten better.Normally I'm finding that the problem doesn't go away until I close down the client and reboot the computer. This will help me for a couple of hours and then i'm having troubles again. Yes I will have more problems than some, since I'm on Antonio Bayle, but I have to stress that this did not start until the last update. This does happen to me occassionally after fixes, especially gu's, but never this bad or to this extreme. Usually I wait a week or two, and it just goes away. This time though its worse than usual.

This is nothing new and everyone know thats eq2 has had a memory leak for the last 4 years why they wont fix it is beyond me they keep adding new stuff to the game expansions etc... just to make more money but dont fix the already problems it has.

i know about that. But i've never had this much trouble. I've left my secondary computer logged on for days at a time, and had no issues. Its only since the last update that I get out of memory issues on that computer. The memory leak is worse than normal. That's what i'm talking about. I've been playing since after launch, and with this computer for a year or so now, and had no issues like this.Even my dual core is having issues. But like you said, the best i can do is say something, and hope nobody confuses this with the very old memory leak that we've all experienced. Usually have issues right after an update, but is usually fixed by now. I had hoped that the fix from a few days ago would correct it, but not enough.

If there is a confirmed repeatable leak, don't you think they would fix it? Try submitting a bug report when it happens instead of bashing them on the forums.. things will get fixed faster.

I fully agree with Brinelan. Reporting memory leaks has a directly observable influence on Sony fixing the leaks. Take Teren's Grasp for instance, they certainly fixed that giant leak that has been there since day one of RoK. Same with Neriak. Oh wait, /sarcasm off.
