After having returned now from since about July of last year, I've run into an issue where before there were none. I have no trouble connecting but at completely random intervals of time the game will just studder maybe for a moment and the zone loading screen will pop up and will load the Character select screen. I can promptly just reconnect and sometimes I believe it happens so fast I disconnect and reconnect within 15 seconds, but it still poses a problem. If I leave it on the Character Select screen for an extended amount of time I will get a window saying connection to the server has been lost. I'm using the same modem, the same router and have always used both. I'm only using the Window's Firewall and have added EQ II as an exception. I'm somewhat at a loss as to what to do.

What these stupid techanical guys are going to tell you "It's our firewall problem, and EQ2 does not support firewall............."

We have the same disconnect problems 2 months ago, and finally they fixed it after sending tons of emails to tell players to fix their computers firewall.......At the end, they tell us it was the unstable power supply of the game servers..............[I cannot control my vocabulary] them all !!!!!!!

Now, this [I cannot control my vocabulary] stupid problem repeat again.........

However, I don't worry to much now, as Age of Conan already released. The mass shipment will come to the local stores 1 week later, and my pay subscription will stop at the end of this week too.. Nice!

Hmmm. I get this every once in a while. I think that my ISP has Hiccups... *wink* *** Read before posting ***Perhaps posting the info that they suggest for connection issues may be a good place to start. They just might suggest a firewall issue, as it is the FIRST step in a line of things to troubleshoot when you have a connection issue...

aye remove firewall or set it to allow eq2 pass if you wanna keep it up,, look into adjusting mtu " The Maximum Transmission Unit of a network is the greatest amount of data or "packet" size that can be transferred in one physical frame on that network " connection tweaking program basicly change this with other setting to tune the connection like a motor not too much air, not too much fuel just the right mixture !!before cable, dsl ect people used to LD like it was going outta style, now that cable, dsl, wifi ect are all over the place people just use the raw speed don't bother tweaking extra 10-15k ect now that people are shareing connections like cable fact companys comcast are PURPOSELY choking peoples connections < traffic shaping , anti-p2p , > it's just getting worse before it gets better few things to try :check wiresmake sure you got nothing using bandwidth like p2p, or adware crudnothing is messing with process in task manager that controls network connections system is not infected with 98 processes running in task manager 23-27 is normal for xp some time there one virus, adware ect that'll eat up cycles cause system to be stuck in 99% which causesrandom disconnects because cpu can't spare anuff attention to keep the connection my 2 coppers

Monrofayy,Lets get some more information on this issue.Open up the Start menu, choose the Run command, type "command" in the space provided, then hit Enter. If you're using Win2k type "cmd" instead of command. For Vista, "type command" at the search bar on the bottom of the Start Menu. The MS-DOS Prompt window should appear with the prompt, "C:windowsdesktop". For Win98/ME or Win2K/XP/Vista, type the following three DOS commands, one at a time, hitting Enter between each command, and waiting for the prompt to reappear: ipconfig /all > c:eq2info.txt tracert unrest.everquest2.com >> c:eq2info.txt pathping unrest.everquest2.com >> c:eq2info.txt (This may take a few minutes to complete) Finally, upon completion of these commands, you will find a file labeled "eq2info.txt" on the root level of your C: drive. You can use the Find command from the Start menu to locate it. Attach the newly generated file (c:eq2info.txt) to an e-mail and reply back to us.
