Hey guys,I have EQ2 running on my laptop with all the updates and so that i didnt have to do all the updates on my desktop computer. I transfered all the EQ2 files. Everything inside the (C:Program FilesSony) folder. It worked for about 30 minutes and then the game crashed saying out of memory. So i restarted the computer and now it wants to download updates. So far its downloaded over 1 gig of updates but all the files should already be in the folder. But I can use my Laptop and play without any updates. Is there any way to transfer all the files from my Laptop to my desktop to avoid all the updates?

You can definitely enable filesharing on both PCs, an then just transfer the files across. Also, if this is VISTA, you will want to do the following.<span class="postbody"><span class="postbody"><ol><li>Run the Task Scheduler.  (Windows Key, type task scheduler and hit enter) </li><li>In the left window pane make sure "Task Scheduler Library" is selected. </li><li>in the Actions pane, click "create task." </li><li>In the general tab, in the name field type EQ2 </li><li>Make sure the "Run with highest privileges" box is checked. </li><li>Go to the Actions tab and click the "New..." button. </li><li>In the "Program/script:" field, use the browse button to locate and select the EQ2.exe file </li><li>In the "Start in (optional):" field type in the full path to your EverQuest 2 folder.  For example: c:program filessonyEverQuest II  </li><li>Click OK when you are finished and then close the Task Scheduler. </li><li>Right Click on your desktop and select New>Shortcut </li><li>In the "Type the location of the item:" field enter the following line <b>schtasks /run /tn "EQ2"</b> </li><li>Click Next and enter EQ2 in the name field then click finish.</li></ol>Kudos to Wingrider for supplying the information.</span></span>
