<p>Hello.</p><p> Returning player here. Seems EQ2 crashes during different times during startup.</p><p>1. Game will crash at the Loading UI screen when logging directly into a character. I do not crash to the desktop, the whole computer freezes up.</p><p>2. From the character select screen I can load and play the game only using select characters. Seems my newer characters will not load. From what I can tell, only 3 out of my 7 will load up and play.</p><p>I did a full file scan and no problems detected. The only thing I think may be a issue is the fact that I am using the newest nvidia beta driver.</p><p>For the guys having the same issue, are you using the beta 175 drivers at all?</p><p> I can post DXDIAG and other computer specs if requested.</p><p>Thanks.</p>

<p>This seems to be a graphics bug of some sort.</p><p>When I log into the character select screen, I drop the settings down to "very high performance". I then can log into any character and play.</p><p>Once logged on to the first character I want to play, I bump the settings back up to "very high graphics". I then can log any player on and play. I can even exit the game and restart it with those settings and play any character.</p><p>Once I reboot the machine and try to log in again, the game causes the computer to freeze.</p><p>I then have to reboot, log into the character select and set the settings to "very high performance" again to log back on.</p><p>Hope this helps you guys figure out what is wrong. I do want to play the game again but I do not want to go through this hassle trying to log in. I let the guys in charge come up with a fix. In the mean time, I'll check back here often to see if this is fixed.</p><p>Thanks</p>

Have you downloaded all of your windows updates? I installed an optional update to my wireless connection a week ago and immediately got his problem. I logged into the game, tried to zone and the computer froze. Every time I tried to log into the game after that it froze at the 'loading ui resources' screen. It froze the whole computer, not just the game. Luckily I had a restore point from before the update, restored the computer and no more problems. I'm using windows vista 64.
