It used to be if I targeted an enemy, or maybe even just did mouse over, I'd see a red underline if the enemy was going to agro on me if I got near it. This was especially good if I was using invisible, because I could tell who saw through invis and who didn't it. For the last two months or so, this hasn't been working for me and I can't figure out what I did to stop the red line from showing.

Does anyone know what options control this feature?

Thank you.

BTW, I posted this question in a different thread, but got no answer. Maybe my subject line was misleading or I didn't explain the problem enough. Sorry for the repeat post, but I really need help.

I've never had a red underline to signify aggro, but I've always had a red outline around the mob's name. This remains true even while invis.

Do you know what option controls this?

I found out that it is a part of the text shadow. When I disabled that as an experiment to improve performance (a suggestion I got from a post on these forums) it also disabled my ability to tell aggro mobs from non-aggro. None of them had the red outline but they were still happy to take a bite out of me. After I re-enabled the text shadow my aggro outlines returned. In fact, looking back at the thread now, I see that you also tried the same experiment. The original topic was How in the world can a chat window be so unoptimized?. Undo the changes suggested in that thread and you'll get your aggro outline back.

I'd never have related this problem to that. Thank you very much.

Maybe you should post in that thread about your discovery. I bet there are a lot of other people getting bitten by some friendly seeming mobs
