View Full Version : Error Message as I log in...

The message reads....Failed to init Arial.  You may need to reboot before some fonts will load.that's it...  anyone else with this problem?  Is there an easy fix for this?(yes I rebooted and no it didn't help)hoping for a lil help... and thx

Unfortunetly this did not do the trick....  Installed and rebooted.... then tried to log in and got the same error...Then I tried to log in... got the error.... installed then tried to log in immediately after... still same problem...

All of my fonts seem to be in EQ2UIDefault and EQ2UIDefaultimagesfontsDo you have anything there?

Arial is a standard windows font.  You may need to get your windows disk and do a repair install of your operating system.

Ah ha....  no I don't have an Arial file in my EQ2 > UI > fontso, now just have to figure out how to get it there...

Use the file that Kithap posted.  I've recommended that to others as well in the past.

still having the same problem...  So I took the image of arial from the images/fonts folder and copied them and that didn't work...I installed arial on my windows and I see it if I look for it manually... I can't however copy the arial folder from there and move it to the EQ2 folder.  Won't let me...  SO... any other suggestions?ALSO... thx for returning with answers as fast as you have, I greatly appreciate it.

Can you extract the files from the zip to those directories? Or extract them to the C:WINDOWSFonts folder?

no the zip doesn't give me an option for where it installs... it just goes to windows

ah well... thx for the help... guess I'll just uninstall and be done with it... back to Wow I go.
