Sorry if this is in the wrong forums, wasn't sure where to ask these questions.<div></div><div>I re-subscribed yesterday after a 4 month hiatus. This morning I got the email about returning players getting 2 months of free gameplay and the new expansion pack for free. Bad timing on my part but no biggie, I would rather see more returning players in the game then complain about not getting my two months free.</div><div></div><div>What I do want to know though is if there is any way to get the Kunark expansion for myself free like the returning players. I haven't bought it since im about 14 levels away from it's content but I am a little disgruntled if returning players get that for free along with all the nice in-game items and even the discount on the next expansion.</div><div></div><div>Can anyone advise?</div><div></div><div>Thanks!</div>

I believe that the offer is only temporary....so once the offer ends, they will lose access to RoK unless they buy it...By the way... Welcome back!

I'd say that you don't qualify, sorry. You might contact SOE and explain the situation. I'd be willing to bet that they would work with you on it.

Nope. If they subscibe after the free time they get to keep ROK for free is what the living lgacy site says.Silat of Nagafen

In another thread grimwell said another poster in the same thread had it basically right. That poster said that current subscribers were basically going to get nothing. So I guess those of us who have stayed with it are going to have to be happy with increased server population. If this works that is more than enough for me to be happy. Though I would not mind free/special stuff.Silat of Nagafen

Well that does kind of stink.... They get a free copy of RoK.. lol*shrugs* Oh well... It would be nice to gain a special house item though.....Doesnt do me much good to be honest. I am in a guild and I do not get to group too much due to RL...

Thanks for the welcome and help everyone. EQII always did have the best community.<div></div><div>I sent an email to customer support asking if there was anyway for me to get the free expansion. I wonder if I can just unsubscribe, wait for my month to run out and then use the return to Norrath to get the free expansion and re-subscribe when the free playtime runs out.</div><div></div><div>I cant really see how that plan wouldn't work. Any thoughts?</div>

<p>2 free months AND the RoK expansion if they re-sub? Just how many accounts has EQ2 lost these past 6 months?</p><p>I saw a recent email stating that RoK had the most new subscribers ever in EQ2 history. Something tells me they also <i>lost </i>the most accounts in history. With as barren as the servers are...must be a lot.</p>

<p>Nektulos, and it's quite barren. I working up a 35 mystic at the moment - working through the Zek quests. There's about 3 other people in the zone, usually high levels just harvesting. When I run to Qeynos Harbor near the bank or broker, there's usually 3-5 people standing around, compared to the usuall 25-40 about 1 year ago.</p><p>Also, I have the chat channels open. All the channels except 70-79 are dead quiet.</p>

I'm going to lock this thread, and suggest that you all <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=418996" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">jump in on the one mentioned above</a>. The questions and comments are welcome, but that will keep them in one spot.I'm also being misinterpreted above. I didn't say "You get nothing!" as an existing subscriber. I can't tell people how to interpret everything, but there is a difference between what I said, and what was implied above. RoK is the best selling EQII expansion ever.. and the game really is in a great state -- and totally different than the game that launched. Hopefully you can see how those two things add up to a "Why don't we invite everyone who tried the game back to see it NOW?" deduction. We have an expansion that was received very well by the player base and the media. It's a great time to invite everyone who's tried it in the past back, and let them see things as they are. Obviously, on the business end, that's good because it may turn into more subscribers; but I'm more excited by the community side of things. Old friends will return, and they won't have an expansion related reason to not see some of the cool places we are taking for granted. So we can drag them all over Norrath to show them the new fun!I like that and plan on running a number of PUG's to show people around.
