View Full Version : Inquisitor, just betray to Templar.. god help me

So my main is an 80 Inquisitor, and was my first character.. However, lately I find myself either: Leveling Alts, or healing for guild events. I love my Inquisitor because I could solo very well, but I always felt gimped when it came to healing. Although I routinely solo heal different t8 instances, I knew I was lacking.. So for the good of strictly healing, I decided to make the plundge and betray to Templar.

I imagine I will have a question or two if I can't find it on the forums myself, so be patient with me,

It would be awesome if you kept us informed. I am really considering the change to Templar for the same exact reason. I fear it could be a rough transition. I look forward to hearing about it.

Let me give you some ideas of what to come if you betray from and Inquisitor to a Templar. I betrayed from a Templar to an Inquisitor...- Your single targets and reactive heals will be similar. - Instead of Act of War, which took one concentration slot to do damage, you will have Glory which is lotto healing which takes up a concentration slot per target.- You will have a targeted stone skin.- Instead of focusing on melee damage as much, although still decent you will be working to improve your spell crit and spell damage modifiers.- Instead of Fervrant Faith, which breaks all control effects on your self, You will get sanctuary, which provides immunities to your group for a short time.- You will have an arcane ward.- Inquisition will be replaced by a single target ward that has a heal component on it.- Instead of Devotion You will have 1 more "emergency" reactive, which stuns you, which some say is worthless, but when I was an off tank templar back in T7, I found use to this when the MT fell and out OT picked it up real quick, I found that the stun would wear off when the triggers were used.- You will have a strength and wisdom buff, which you can place on one target.- You will give your group more raw HP.- "Punishments" are replaced by a lotto heal that debuffs the mob.- Your Mythical will be better, but not as good looking!- You will not have a power heal, but with all the additional lotto heals a templar has, this shouldn't be a problem.- You will not have your power drain, but who needs power these days?- I almost forgot, Instead of Verdict, you get a pet hammer, it's cute, it's good for pulling, it dies quickly.Did I miss anything? It's been a few months since I betrayed.

If confident healing capabilities are what you're looking for, you will definitely find it in a Templar. However, keep in mind that you will lose many of what offensive capabilities you are used to on your Inquisitor. Your debuffs will be exchanged for a single Mitigation reducing debuff and a small arsenal of rather quiet stuns and dazes. But since you're 80, and looking to mainly heal with your guild, I think it would be a good choice for you.
