"<verify> E:liveeq2gameclientsrcGameScene.ccp (4134): Failed to create zone. Suggestion: Please do a full scan from the patch"

I got that message when I was loading in my house in Neriak. I'm not sure what to do about this. I don't know if anyone else has this problem. Also...when I first loaded the game into this computer I crashed after a couple minutes and the message said I ran out of memory. I changed my performance settings and it stopped...but I'm not sure that problem relates to this one.

LinkinFloyd wrote:

How do I do a full scan?

Open the launchpad so you're at the window with the "Play" button. Select the "Preferences" option and you'll see a button to perform a full file scan. Let that run through and tell us if it finds anything.

Well I tried that and it still came up with that error. Right now I'm at the load up screen to enter into my house in Neriak and it shuts down there. My other character works fine when I load into the game but I haven't tried loading it into a house because I just created it. Any more suggestions?

I've never experienced that error myself, but I talked with someone who was getting that same message here at the office. He says he was able to correct it by reinstalling direct X and his graphics card drivers. This makes me think it has something to do with particle effects/reflections. Since many people have the performance options set to only show those effects in their house, it seems like a possible cause. You can get the DirectX runtime here:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...;DisplayLang=enYou'll want to visit your graphics card manufacturers website to get the updated graphics drivers. I can help if you have trouble finding the ones you need.Let us know if that helps.

Hi, This seems to be a continuation of the same issue, so hopefully someone can pick it up!

"<verify> E:liveeq2gameclientsrcGameScene.ccp (4134): Failed to create zone. Suggestion: Please do a full scan from the patch"

I can confirm that a full scan finds no errors. However a couple of other observations:

I am someone looking to tajke advantage of your RoK promotion, so this is a brand new download. After completion on first launch I get the lcp_plugin crash (apparently vista x64 users always get this ?). Char creation works, I create a new Sarnack. I then attempt to zone into the game world, same behavior every time.

Now after about the third restart, I change compatibility mode on the shortcut to XPSP2 (UAC is already off), and the patcher tells me I have new content after updating its front end.

I have no idea if it is 'correct' but its now downloading AP3_Snake_Women_SOGA.vpk - and I can confirm the file is not already there. Current EQ2 folder is 7.2 GB - I of course dont know what it should be, but am wondering if it tried to let me into the game world before its fully patched ? (if so why did the verify not comment on this ?).

Hardware is Vista Ultimate, Q6600, 2 x 8800 GTS (g92) with a 790i board. I can also confirm that changing the nvidia driver version back from beta to release has had no impact.

Am currently letting the game 'repatch' (6 hours, hope this is a needed patch not an overwrite), all help appreciated!

Mizpah

Note: Have just realised that a search cant find that above folder structure, or gamescene.ccp

I had the same issue a week ago. For some reason I didn’t have the file to load my house in Neriak . Anyway, in the launchpad , click preference and make sure ‘download additional content’ is on and ‘download while I play’ is off , save your setting. Close and reopen the launchpad (or scan your file) and you should download some new stuff (took me around an hour), the error should be fixed after that.

If it's redownloading the same file more than once in vista, that probably means that the file is download but Vista is not allowing the file to be modified. You'll want to make sure that the file is not set as read only. Assuming that is not the issue, run through the steps below to make sure the game is set to be compatible with Vista

1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Double click on the program launch icon.

Sometimes the Windows Vista security software can interfere with the patching progress of our games. In this situation, it might be Windows UAC (User Account Control) that is not allowing the game to patch correctly. For the purposes of security, you will only want this feature disabled for the purposes of patching and should re-enable it after the issue has been resolved.

Type msconfig in the search box on the Start Menu and press enter on your keyboard. 2. Click the tools tab in the System Configuration box. 3. Scroll down the list and highlight ‘Disable UAC' then click Launch. 4. Restart your computer. 5. Run the patcher. You can enable UAC by following the steps above but highlight ‘Enable UAC'

Fenix may be correct, though. Its possible that one of the Neriak files is set as an optional download. While I haven't experienced this myself, setting the downloads to complete before logging in may correct the crash issue in that zone.

I can confirm - forcing it download everything (turning off download whilst you play) fixed the error for me. For reference I was already admin, UAC was off, and the folder had read only removed.

I then duplicated this on a second PC, and had to repeat the procedure.

When the game first launches at 7.2GB after intitial download it seems to still need the extra content, a further 2.4GB before it will launch successfully (of course I was launching as Sarnak, maybe i was just missing that content!)

Regards,

Mizpah

PS: UK RoK Client

Thanks for the confirmation Mizpah,

I'm going to see if I can find out which file is causing it and which piece of optional content is it listed under. That way we can atleast have people download just that one section of optional content instead of the entire 2+gb
