I would like to suggest (Since both a male and female model exists for both pet graphics) that the gender is random on summon. This would allow necromancers to summon and re-summon their pet until they have the desired gender. My necromancer is 75 and I just got the spider boy mage pet. He looks [Removed for Content]. I waited so long and worked so hard because I wanted a black widow warlock pet, I had no idea it'd be a plain, boring looking spider. Same with "Shadow Blade". The female vampires of that design look worlds and worlds better in my opinion. Randomizing the pet gender upon summon causes no game breaking imbalances and it would allow me to use my pets HAPPILY (I do not use my warlock pet even though it's superior, because i DESPISE the way it looks. If we HAVE to have gender based pets, please give us some means to control their gender.)Another solution is to make the male dracnid pet a black widow as well. Please please consider this.

A better solution, wich I think is your second sugjestion is to give too spells one for the Female model and one for the Male.

IMO, I think that the main pets for both Conj and Necro should scale with the caster and that the differance between them should be the looks of the pet, and the spells/CAs available to the pet, the Top level Warlock pet for exsample should have say 2 to 4 more spells then the first Warlock pet but the spells they have in commin should do the same damage, that way the summoner can keep an old pet model out if they prefure the look of it, with only a slight reduction of the pet's capablities, wich outside of raids really wouldn't matter.

I suggest Pet-Only Illusion spells, but that's just me.

Eek. I just remade my my necro as a female but I've seen both of those pets and I certainly don't want the male spider at the end.

I really really hope they give an illusion or choice by the time I get there. Definitely a downer

Well, as boring as the male Drachnid looks he is way deadlier than the female. The males are based on Brown Recluse spiders which are waaaay scarier in my opinion than a common Black Widow.

I had just gotten the Cazic Thule mini-lizzy on my bruiser yesterday and while poking around with him I ended up in his Pet Options window. In there is a toggle icon to permanently hide your deity pet. Couldn't a similar icon be added to the Pet Options window of the two gender specific necro pets? A male/female gender toggle that determines which model to display? I think this would be a simple method of answering this request.I agree that the female shadowblade pets look much nicer than the male ones, and would love the option of female pets for my female necromancer.
