Last night I was raiding in Shard of Hate.I had 112 haste most of the time, (death march and swift attack)I had 1632 attackMy primary attack was 250-1001My int was at 812, str at 640I was in offensive stance with epic and no shield, but 2 symbols.My spell dmg was at +650 and CA was at +350.dps mod was 4 from items.dble atck was 10 from items.The priceless stat was my average dps was only <p>Well, you're trying way to hard to be a "caster" it seems.  Instead of using 2 symbols, you'd be MUCH better off using a Bow like the Di'Zok bow with +25 str and +50 Int.  Slap a +10 or +12 DPS Adornment on there.  Next your neck... +12 DPS adornments are cheap.  For Haste it seems that you had an Illusionist that was hasting you?  Death March doesn't give haste, only +DPS (for 10 seconds) and Swift Attack is 30 if maxxed.  Do you have a Haste item?  Like the blue shiney collection belt or the Mastercrafted cloak?</p><p> What I personally do is I put the +20 haste adornment on my 2h weapon (Bonecrusher, but Maidnes quest reward 2h'er is good too) and use that if I'm DPS on raids (or tanking trash in Instances) and use the Rallos Zek Cloak for the proc and +DPS mod.  If I'm tanking, then I use my epic and my Mastercrafted Cloak for Haste.  </p><p>Your Melee Damage is MUCH more important than spell damage on single targets.  With a decent 2h'er, some DPS mod buffage (or items), and Haste you're hitting for 6 - 8k every couple seconds.  Try your best to get your DPS + Haste as high as possible.  </p><p>Good DPS Items:</p><p>Neck / Bow Adorns a MUST</p><p>Rallos Cloak</p><p>PR Belt</p><p>Death Bringer BP from Seb</p><p>Mastercrafted Str Ring a MUST</p><p>Good Haste items:</p><p>2h weapon adornment</p><p>MC Cloak (26 Haste)</p><p>Mistmoore Cloak</p><p>Blue Shiney Belt</p><p>Double Attack items:</p><p>Impaler Legs from Maidens</p><p>Quest Helm from JW</p><p>Quest Boots from JW</p><p>Trampler's Boots from PR</p><p> 2h Weapons:</p><p>Maidens Reward 2h'er</p><p>2h Slash from Invincible encounter in Kor-Sha</p><p>2h Crush (awesome weapon!) from Pawbuster</p><p>Get some of this stuff and you can't go wrong.  I usually parse 2k - 3.2k depending on fight in DPS gear.  I'm sure there's room for improvement especially with the ring that drops SoH.  </p>

Yes, I have a caster complex..  I'm glad you are here to help fellow SK's <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />" />I got the haste up by having the cloak of flames, max AA on str line for swift axe and passive speed.  Also had some other items that had like 1 and 2 haste on them.25 from cloak2 from Yha-Lei tracker's belt3 from shuddering earring30 from swift axe17.6 from Avenger's relentlessness (3rd down on str)77.6 there, i guess the rest was from group buffs.the rest was from a group buff.Speaking of AA's what do you all recommend for them to max out dps and maintaining group buffs on wis line.  I was thinking Max Mellee Crits and str line for the hastes and wis line AA's that help you hit more often.

I was in a group with an illusionist and a swash and 3 others i cannot remember.I took your guy's advice and was doing 1421 in crypt of agony, although i was just asked to help out on the Fallen Emporer Vekin.  I was in offensive stance and did topped out the parse at 1665 on that.  I can';t thank you enough as I was able to hold aggro and the fight was really fast.  can't thank you enough.The changes I made were to get the DPS adornmnets for neck and bow.  Str ring and agi ring.my dps was as high as 128 and attack speed got up to 102 depending on when rings proc'd.

haven't raided much myself but I managed 696 DPS zonewide in Lyceum at 67 (3 level under the intended level for the instance) in mostly mastercrafted gear with adornments (symbol with +disease in ranged slot). I wish I still had the log to compare breakdown by ability so I could see what's going on there.</p><p>I'm not at all convinced that going the melee route is a good idea (at least not before 70 and being able to have 70 AAs, maybe I'll change my mind in Kunark), though you might be over cap with that much +spell damage. If that's the case you should swap some of that for other stats. I suspect the caster route is more effective when you have multiple mobs to AoE down. Highest I've managed to get my parser to go for an encounter was like 1600 with death march and AoE goodness. (Well... not counting using harm touch on a grey mob and having it tell me my DPS is infinite lol.)</p>
