Any chance that the odds of this ultra rare even might be looked at. Most of the "master" crafters that I know of have managed to level to 80, done some/all of the tradeskill quests and never remember seeing one of these events in all of their crafting. Heck, I know of some that don't even know it exists. This is like a harvester getting to 400 in skill and never seeing a rare harvest. But with all the recent changes in the rate at which rares can be harvested at, is it still "fair" that this event remains almost unheard of.

Considering that this rare event gives you a rare, I think it's fine that it is increadibly rare. Then again that's me.

I have seen it a few times.... Also something to note, if you do not counter it correctly, you will not gain the rare.. many people do not pay attention to the counters when they are needed and just spam away..... leaving them with very little chance at getting this rare one (or any one for that matter).

It's the RNG at work. I'v egotten somewhere between 6-10 FoI's in my three years of crafting. My brother got one recently and failed to counter it. Doh! It still auto-completed, but he didn't get the rare.

I have never seen it, not on any of my tradeskillers, a few of which are in their 50s now. And I always counter everything. So I believe its rare all right. Until reading these forums, I was one of those that never knew it existed.

The percentage chance of confronting a FoI event is so small because back in the day when FoI was implemented, rare harvests were REALLY rare. They wanted to make sure this wasn't used as a way to easily obtain rares. But today, rares aren't so rare.

It's rare. its daggone rare. It was designed so that back in the day when harvesting rares really were rare, it'd be quicker to harvest rares than to bot them crafting.Sure the heck gives you that "WOO-HOO" feeling when you get one and counter it, though!

I've gotten at least a dozen free roots from my 80 provisioner, and two woods already from my 50 woodworker. My (60 something) sage and (70 something) alch have both gotten them numerous times as well. /shrug.

I got it twice within like 5 minutes on my tailor while grinding through t5... never seen it on any of the other 8 crafters yet.

yes, it is rare, yes its rare to the point where you dont craft to get it, but [Removed for Content] does it feel good if you do get it.
