Another nerf? maybe it's just me...anyone else notice?

I came back today after 2 weeks vacation. Prior to leaving I had spent a lot of time harvesting mining nodes for rare to suit up my alts as well as those of my husband. I had spent a great deal of time in T4 and T6 zones and was having good success collecting feysteel, cobalt and the other rares that live in those zones. I was getting 3-4 rares an hour on average...I come back today, my mining toon is still in a T6 zone so I proceed to harvest some more mining nodes....NOTHING not one rare in 2 hours of harvesting...SO I figure it has to be just a bit of bad luck right? So I camped that toon and logged in a toon who was mining in Enchanted lands. (just so you know both of these toons are level 80 and their skills are all maxed) So I proceed to hit mining node in a T4 zone....after 2 hours and several hundred nodes....NOTHING not one rare....NOTHING...Now is it my luck or have they nerfed the rares and made them even more rare? There were 3-4 others in the Enchanted Lands harvesting and they said it was much slower than they remembered it being....Nerf or No Nerf?

Its your luck....  RNG and all....I have been harvesting on an off for the last 2-3 hours in T6 ...  and have about 8 rares....

The RNG is extremely fickle and can be streaky.Last night I was harvesting on 2 computers in 2 different places.  I had a level 10 sarnak harvesting T1 stuff near Garowyn and a level 80 harvesting in Barren Sky (T7).  My level 80 has maxed skills, the level 10 started with less than 10 skill.  I was using a horse and max harvesting tools with my level 80 and nothing with my level 10.  My level 80 was harvesting pretty much everything but looking primarily for hides and roots.  My level 10 was harvesting metal nodes (both kinds) only for my level 80s tinkering.At the end of the night, my level 10 had 4-5 rare loams, 6-7 bronze, 5-6 copper, and 2 lapis (I don't recal the exact numbers but I took a screen shot of his harvestings) and my level 80 got 2 nimbus root, 1 xegonite, 1 acrylia, and 1 ebony.On other occasions with my level 80 harvesting in Tenebrous Tangle, I've gotten multiple spongies, a couple xegos, a handful of rare hides and zero nimbus roots even though I harvested mostly root nodes.

Sounds like you were having a streak of GOOD luck if it was ever any different for you on a regular basis.

It's just luck.  Night before last I was in Tenebrous Tangle with my 80 Necro helping finish Draco Mortuus vos Liberatio.  After we were done, I harvested up all the gem nodes in the area, then ran over to Gazer Isle and harvested up all the ore nodes there.  In that 10 minutes of harvesting I got about six rares.  Sometimes the RNG likes you, sometimes it doesn't.
