I am a 75 Assassin. I have decent gear, not great, though i do have a bunch of upgrades in the coming levels.

I was told that a lvl 70 fabled assassin could do 3k parses, and at 75 im only doing around 1.7k. Though keep in mind thats a group parse, not a raid parse. The mobs were in CoA and 3-4 levels above mine.. but still... 1.3k less then a lvl 70?

I do have some melee crit upgrades for me at higher levels, but currently im at

20% melee crit , 3 % DA and 31% haste.

I didnt raid in t7, so i dont have any sweet melee crit gear that i could be wearing.

also i only have 75 AA points, but i have finished the Tricks and Poisions line in the Assassin Tree, and the Str in the pred tree, i am working on the int line.

I do not have a full adpet III's either, just a few of my better ones, and i have death Mark M2.

Is there something i am missing? or did i take a wrong aa line? Or is this parse just something i'll have to live with untill i get my better gear at lvl 77-80? But it seems really low to me. Shouldnt a lvl 75 Assassin be parsing higher then that?

Actualy, your doing just about average, i cant belive a lvl 70 is doing 3k parse normal. i'd find it hard to belive that a 70 pushed a 3k parse whith all the stars aligned and everything. a raid assassin at lvl 80 will do about 4k-5k, pre raid 80s will do about 2k-3k So yea... some one led you a line of bull.

But on a side note, out of curriosity, how at lvl 75 do you only have 75 aa? im lvl 78, and i never level locked, or aa grinded, or even quested much, and i have 121.

(( its probably just your order of attacks and CAs.try dropping your Mark first (deadly mark or whatever its called)then drop your Dotsthen your big stealth bombs(USE CONCEALMENT to pack them together in 7 seconds)(a good strat I always used was just before the pull do short term buffs, then on the pull, stealth and hit our AOE Dot (slaughter or something? I dont recall the name its been a while)ANYWAYS after that hits, then do your mark, more dots, etc (the above pattern)That way, the AOE dot ticks away doing massive damage. That Aoe Dot is actually VERY strong and does Tons of dps for you, but you have to do it early.Basically the concept is let the dots do extra damage for you while you spike dmg with stealth arts (DDs)That way you are doing EXTRA damage while you are doing your regular high spike dmg.Make your dots work for you!Back when I was 70 raiding T7 ive hit 3k before, but it was not very common, and only on raid mobs with not much HP ^_^ (nowadays at 77 i dont raid but i imagine I'd only be doing 1.5-2.5k *shrugs*)(fully fabled, adorned, etc. (btw pvp gear helps the parse ALOT, if you dont have any, join pvp server ^_^all you have to do for l33t gear is kill other n00bs ---

(not without significant time IMO)

Yeah exactly. I wasnt quite capped, but pretty close.

I am glad to hear though that my parse isnt too terrible. I seen an 80 Wizard doing 2.5k + parse in a group, though i guess i cant compare a 75 to an 80. At 80 I'll have much better gear.

buffs from other people make a huge difference difference, and crit gear and plus damage gear.

Honestly you really only have to 'worry' about the parse if u want to be hard core raiding. The parse otherwise should just help you understand that u need to aquire more and better gear, spell quality, AA points and study AA setup.

Also at 80, you get fatal followup which is a HUGE increase to your damage. execute type damage at only a 1 min cooldown. gotta love it

Yeah, ive since hit lvl 80 and Fatal Followup has done wonders to my parse. Im usually top dps now. It really does depend who your grouped with though. With a Troub in my group ive done over 2.5k ZW in CoA. I got a 7.5k mob parse on a named in there. Its more like 1.8ish - 2.2ish ZW with no bard though.

But yeah, when i was talking about 1.7k before, that was a mob parse, not even zone wide. So my dps has gone up signifigantly.
