Ice Comet animation?

Can this be changed? I was really looking forward to level 50 and the so coolly sounding Ice Comet.I got one of my mates to show me the animation for Ice comet...i was disappointed to see it is just Fire Ball but blue!Thats not a Comet <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

This comes up once every few months oh since....the game went live. Yeah, we know the animation sucks. Yeah, it's been our most powerful spell (dps-wise) since the game began, and should really look way better to reflect this. Yeah, it's ball of lava painted blue. No, SoE doesn't seem to have any interest in changing it, or they probably would have done so well over 3 years ago by now. That might be a little harsh, but it's the truth.

sorry i havnt been playing long, never knew it had cropped up before, thought sony had changed it to the blue ball a while ago and never knew most other things.didnt seam harsh at all

think the eq1 version around the ldon days had a better animation.  Thing i hate about eq2 spell graphics is there too quick and too many particle effects. So u dont get to see even on good graphics ice comets goes by in what feels like less then a sec.  And if your in a grp its just a mesh of particle effects.

Lol, I always thought it was kinda cool.  The sound it makes when it lands is so heavy.  I've spec'd some guilds killing contested before and if I turn my spell quality up, even from distance I can hear that fat Ice Nova smacking the mob.  When it double attacks the sound becomes even heavier.  BOOOOMM!   I love it!

I remember the first thread on this I read wayyyyyy back in the day, heh.yea, it sounds cool and all but fission sound owns all, lol
