I downloaded the standalone patcher and started letting it patch. Then i decided i didnt want it, cancelled the patching and uninstalled the program. Well now my eq2 patcher wont start eq2. The patcher says loading files and always wants to download eq2module.dll. Then after it supposedly downloads it, it says loading graphics as if its about to load the logon screen but nothing happens. I checked processes and theres nothing there. As of now im starting eq2 by going right to the eq2 app and entering in my password but that doesn't let me download updates. I noticed that the lon directory wasnt deleted by the uninstal, deleted it, but that didn't fix it either. Im running Vista ultimate. Any ideas?

Greetings,Sounds like one of the files was partially updated and now Vista is blocking that file from being modified. You can usually fix the problem by going through the steps listed below.1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Double click on the program launch icon.Sometimes the Windows Vista security software can interfere with the patching progress of our games. In this situation, it might be Windows UAC (User Account Control) that is not allowing the game to patch correctly. For the purposes of security, you will only want this feature disabled for the purposes of patching and should re-enable it after the issue has been resolved. Type msconfig in the search box on the Start Menu and press enter on your keyboard. 2. Click the tools tab in the System Configuration box. 3. Scroll down the list and highlight ‘Disable UAC’ then click Launch. 4. Restart your computer. 5. Run the patcher. You can enable UAC by following the steps above but highlight ‘Enable UAC’If this did not fix your issue then please contact us again.

As long as the game is up to date you shouldn't need to do anything on that list.
