I have a desktop with 2 8800gts 640mb cards in sli, and a sony vaio ux with a gma 950 graphics chip, and my goal is to get it running well on both. With the desktop the game gets about 30fps on high quality setting, in 1920x1200, wheather i have sli enabled or disabled. any higher and it gets quite slow, extreme quality takes it down to about 3fps. This isnt my main problem but i was curious as to how it can run so poorly on this card, i got similar performance from a fx5950 ultra back when the game came out, albiet at a lower res. i saw other people have this issue with geforce cards and turning off or tweaking the ui seems to help them, but it didnt affect my fps. Does anyone know why it runs so poorly on high end hardware? Its not because because EQ2 is so advanced etc. or anything like that, since crysis looks a hell of a lot better and i can run that on almost max settings in the same res.My main question is with my laptop. It has 1.33ghz core solo, 1gb ram, gma950 64mb. Yes it know its not a gaming card etc. etc. but i got the laptop because its 4.5 inches and fits in my pocket. so anyway, there seems to be a HUGE issue with the UI. Other people say the ui can decrease the framerate from 10-50%, but on this it makes it unplayable. With the UI turned off via F10, on extreme performance i get well over 30fps. I can even put it all the way up to balanced and i still manage 15fps, pretty amazing considering the hardware. When i turn the ui on however, on extreme performance it drops to less than 1fps. if i put it on balanced it doesnt seem to make much difference with the ui on, it runs about the same as extreme performance. I can play wow, guild wars, and d&d all with 30fps+ on low settings with their UI's on, the ui in those games doesn't seem to make a difference.Clearing the chat window, removing chat tabs, disabling that soft font option thingy doesnt make a difference at all. Anyone have any idea why this might happen or any way i could get around it besides memorizing all my commands and guessing at hp?Is there a way to disable ui elements one at a time to figure out if its any one thing causing the problem? i couldnt find instructions in my searches. Thanks a lot for any help

Greetings,I'm actually amazed you're getting the game to work at all on your laptop, let alone at the frame rate you're reporting.  You should be able to disable some of the UI windows or at least move them off screen in the UI options.  You may need to check the box that says something like 'allow offscreen windows' before doing so.

I managed to drag nearly all ui elements off screen manually, and each one seemed to increase the frame rate by 2 or 3 fps on extreme performance setting. once i had all off the screen except the corners of 3 of them it was at around 15fps, but still not the 30 i get when i turn the ui off.is there anything i can do to make this playable? i travel long distances every day on the train and it would be great if i could get this running.
