View Full Version : Righteous Ornament Adorn
Since the pally spells we have do divine damage I got a Righteous Ornament (plus divine damage) to adorn my symbol with. When I equiped it only the single target spells increased in damage. All the AE spells, which do say divine damage, did not increase at all. Is this working as intended? I do understand that for multi target spells you will not see the total increase for each target but I saw zero increase. If remember right the amount is divided by 3 for increase in damage on AE spells. I can equip and un-equip my symbol that is adorned with the Righteous Ornament and watch my damage numbers by hovering over the spell on hotbar. Anyone else have this adorn and do you see a change with the AE spells that do divine damage? Seemed a waste of plats for just 2 spells to increase. BTW I got a wishbone for charm spot and it does increase damage on all the spells.

I petitioned it and talked to a GM about it. He tried to tell me it was working as intended and it appears it only effects spells and not ca's, even though the ca's have divine damage too. He said he would see what he could to to have it fixed in a future update...but I wouldnt hoild your breath.

<p>This is the continuing saga of Paladin itemisation stuff ups. </p><p>Note also that there havent been any fixes for our Wis AA line or Fabled and Mythical epics either <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/2786c5c8e1a8be796fb2f726cca5a0fe.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p><p>Several GU later and still nothing <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/e78feac27fa924c4d0ad6cf5819f3554.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p><p>Despite massive feedback on this there wasnt even an official acknowledgement that they were even aware of it on official forums.</p>
Well Circle of conviction says in description it is a spell but no increase on it with this adorn. When you cast circle of conviction it even sends down lighting bolts like a spell effect not a swing your sword thing. Smite evil and brimstone also looks like spells in effect but they do not say that in description. All of these do increase in damage if you equip a Danak Wishbone which does +50 spell damage. That indicates to me they are spells. Doom Ray says melee damage in description and Circular Smite looks like a CA since you swing sword around in circle. I also played with an intellect potion and noticed increase in damage from all these AE spells. INT increases spell damage so if they were CA then would not be affected right. Looks to me like they act and look like spells and Circle of Conviction even says it is.

<p>Theoretically +Str = +CA and +int = +spells but the apparent lack of anyone who knows Crusaders in any deatail doing the itemisation etc has resulted in the dogs breakfast we have come to expect.</p><p>Thanks for raising it and taking the trouble to do some checking on effects. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>
