First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong spot. Didn't see a tech spot on the forums.Just finished building a new PC. When I loaded up EQ2 for the first time, my settings weren't on maximum, so I started tweaking to see how I would run. After setting everything up to max for the most part, I noticed that when I have the camera pulled away a bit, everything has a "fuzz" around it. Before I messed with my settings everything was crisp and clear no matter how far away, but now with higher settings I get this blurry effect for anything more than a few yards away. It's small, but I'd rather have crisp over max settings. So, question I have it, does anyone know what settings I could mess with to get this back? I've been throwing sliders around for a good 30 mins attempting, but no luck. Also minor question. When I put shader distance at .950, my trees look just fine. At 1.000 however they all have black boxes around them. Just a general card error? C2D E8500 3.16ghz, 2gb ram, 8800gts, WinXP

The support section is here: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...?category_id=45 it's a link near the top of the main boards just under "Community News" and just above "Game Updates".

But for your problem, it sounds like you are talking about the environmental bloom setting. If turning that off doesn't work then something else you can try is setting the performance settings to extreme performance and then set each setting back up manually one by one to see which one it is that causes this.

That shader issue deffinitely sounds like a graphics card driver issue to me. Maybe try a different driver version even if it's an older one, or post about it in the tech support forums.
