I have a question. I am an old Mystic who took a bit over a two year break and returned in March of '08. I am finding the game has changed in my absence to a wonderful degree. The level cap is 80, the AA (ap) lines, the solo questing. I went from 53 to 80 in about 8 weeks by AA experience discovery, questing and collections without much fuss or time playing. I currently have 128 AA and am relearning to raid. Recently my guild invited a very cocky and ego-centered Mystic to join us on an adventure in a new raiding zone for us. He came for added healing and his experience, I had no problem trying to watch and learn from him because he will tell anyone who listens his endless achievements. I was nothing but sweet to the guy but I did catch one thing I did wonder about. Before he arrived he had to reroll his AA line to be geared towards raiding. Can someone give me an idea of what the AA line for raiding looks like compared to the AA line for soloing. I pretty much have mine geared towards soloing with some added AA's that help healing. I am curious if it's worth rerolling my AA's for a big raid (Have Hate this weekend). Can someone please point me where some examples of a raid geared mystic AA line is and a perfect solo mystic line is? I see lots of chatter about what one person likes vs. another but no real solid..."this is what works". Again I am more interested in some examples of a raid AA line. Thanks in advance!
Try to get a AA mirror to make one you need someone with 40 000 status in one of the craft society. You will need a composant that sell around 1 gold and non rare (2 copper stuff).I gave 50 gold to the craftman for his effort. The name is something like "Mirror of reflected achivements", most people call it AA mirror.

Well, my soloing aa line is str line to the end with haste maxed & wards nearly maxed, agility line to the end with crits maxed (likely to change due to some + crit gear I've gotten recently), and a bit down the stamina line with double attack maxed. Full melee line & augmentation lines in the mystic tree.

For raiding I dropped a good bit of my shaman tree melee oriented stuff (dropped most of my crit hits for example, maxed crit heals & didn't get the final agility line aa. I maxed my spell skills in the wisdom tree to hopefully help with debuff resists. Kept the str line just as it was because the haste & wards help just as much in a raid (imo) as they do in a group. Unless you are in the tiers where he dies so quickly to the aoe's he should be immune to that he is pointless. In the mystic specific tree I dropped the enhance sow, dropped parts of my melee (kept enough to keep the final ability for dog surviablity & usefulness) and put all the extras I had in the rez line ability that increased the quality of our rez so that should I need to rez, my rez will at least be a good rez. Also extended the range of my rezzes, to make it easier to get people who die in inconvient places.

I am the only shaman that raids with anything close to regularity so I have possibly have a different role that some other mystics on raids might. This is just what I do, not saying it's the best route but currently is what seems to work for me.

The aa mirror is a no trade item so you will have to find a crafter willing to meet you somewhere to do a commission. It requires a reflective shard which drops (pretty commonly it seems) in high level zones so it should be fairly cheap on the broker.

As for a 'this is what aa you should take' bible, there isn't one. What works well in one situation for one mystic will not be what another mystic needs to be the most effective.
