Armor for 52...

Seeing how it's 14pp for mastercrafted (waaay more than my measly 2pp savings)...where does one get good armor for 52ish?Is there any quest/dropped armor that's better than the generic 50 stuff that's reasonable to obtain?

<p>Mastercraft is still a very good choice if you don't wanna do some instance crawling, but instead of buying it directly from the broker, either harvest the components or buy them and contact a crafter directly. A significant price drop...</p><p>Most crafters are more than happy to get the added business.</p>

My recommendation is also to harvest the rares and talk to an armorer local to your server. I tend to do it for 5g per tier per piece, which includes fuels. You will probably be able to find someone who does it for even cheaper because they're bored. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

There is nothing in DoF. Since I too will not be spending over a dozen plat on mastercrafted chain (still have weapon/secondary/ranged/jewelery and charm slots to fill... not to mention ad3), I plan to just get the 50 handcrafted and upgrade where I can. Your best bet will probably be mines of meldrath and klak'anon. There might be some stuff in DoF here or there with decent stats, but I wouldn't count on it.
