One of the truly cool things in WoW (no I am not a WoW fanboi just willing to experiment) is the add-ons. At least the ability to have them is cool. For a bit I played that game with some friends and actualy had a good time. The thing that made it fun for me was ONE add-on. It is called atlas loot. Is there ANYTHING like that for EQ2? All it does is display what loot is dropped by various NPCs in the various instances and such. It doesn't give any info on the mob or alter your ui at all. I realize that there probably isn't a ui add-on for EQ2 but I could use a website or something like as well.

I don't think there's such a UI Mod available for Everquest 2 at the moment, however there are custom UI mods available, check out http://www.eq2interface.comThere are a number of loot databases online that do give breakdowns of what loot is in what zone, but most aren't organized by what's good for which class and what isn't. Such sites include:http://www.lootdb.comhttp://eq2.xanadu-community.com/ite...ge=new&id=1 (Mostly raid gear though)There's a program that lets you search through everything quickly, but I forget what it is and where to get it.

Alas no there isnt. Atlas and the like were great mods in WoW. Unfortunately because all of the database websites like EQ2I and such rely on player input they are really lacking on item info from zones instance and bosses. There is no complete database to find the information you seek. Even looking through EQ2DB may show the item but might have no information on where or who drops said item.

What EQ2i needs is a program like thottbott's that parses the logs and uploads the information to their site. With information like what dropped in what zone, and by what mob. If they did something like that, or if someone could develop such a program, it would greatly improve what information we get out of the game. After all, there is the options already in game, that allow you to output to the chat screen, that after you kill a mob, what the zone is, the location of the kill at that time, and what he dropped. So if people turned that on, and someone makes this type of parser, we all win.

Actually, lootdb.com has started tracking that kind of information, they have a program you can download that tracks and records all that information and parses your logs for items.

Yes there is.. or at least it used to.

To see what loot a mob might drop, create a macro and put it on your hotbar. Then all you need to do is target the mob and hit the macro. use this command for your macro: /browser http://www.lootdb.com/eq2/mob/%T
