HI all,I am having problems with the launcher, eq2.exeI have set up a new XP Pro build, new pc.I transferred my everquest2 directory to the new pc.When I run eq2.exe everything seems to load ok - Eq2TOS.htm loads everytime, then when the "Loading Graphics" finishes...nothing. The eq2.exe seems to fail to call everquest2.exe.I can run everquest2.exe ok, on it's own. I get to the character select screen. How do I fix this ?

Are you bale to login after character select, when using everquest2.exe?You may want to try the BETA Launcher as well

Yes, I can login using Everquest2.exe. I get a cut down login window, then then go to the Character Select (full screen) Window. Thereafter the game runs as usual.I did a reinstall of the game (only have the KOS on dvd). After patching the launcher, I can login to the standard patcher window.I will copy my directory files over the installed directory to see if I can reduce patch time.** Can someone confirm if the everquest directory is all i need to copy to new pc's ? Are there registry entries I need to create ? (i.e. those created via a media install)** I thought the directory was stand-alone.Thanks in advance

Greetings,Barring a couple of settings files, Everquest 2 can be copied from one computer to another with simply the game folder. It sounds like you had a firewall or lack of admin rights blocking the launchpad on your first attempt. Usually copying the files will work fine. Here's a list of the files you'll want to delete when transferring the application from one computer to another:cache foldereq2_recent.inieq2_default.iniEverQuest2.exee q2.iniIf you don't have the same UI installed on the second system you may also want to delete the following files:Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.iniS tationname_characters.ini(replace Servername, charactername, and stationname with your actual character/station/server names)Let us know if you need any more help
