Is there any tracking done about which species players tend to go for most or least? If not any tracking, any annecdotal indications / opinions?If I were to make an elf, would it be like in WoW were a good 60 - 80% of the toons in the game are one of the two types of elves, and most of the rest humans? Or is there a bit more community balance to it?I've been around for a few days now, but I'm still in that phase where I'm making a constant stream of alts and trying to see what I enjoy, and I've yet to get a good feel for the community.

From what I have seen the majority is usually comprised overwhelmingly of elves, dwarves, and barbarians. Gnomes, humans, kerra, fae/arasai and erudites are somewhere slightly below the first ones I listed, with virtually every other race in the vast minority. On my server at least iksar, sarnak, ogres, and trolls appear to be nearly nonexistant.

I once did for a reply to this question right after RoK came out, so there weren't a whole lot of Sarnak yet. Between all the various elf races, they accounted for over half of the population.
