Direct X memory crash.

<p>Hi,</p><p> Just got the game, and it seems like 1/2 the time i'm on, after and hour or so, my game crashes and gives me an error stating that there is an memory error related to direct X.  Any ideas why this is happening?</p><p> I have my settings on medium, and have 1G of RAM, however, I should be getting more ram tomorrow for a total of 1.5G.  Just purchased a new graphics card also (Nvidia 7600GS (agp) ).  </p><p>Will getting more RAM fix this?</p>

More Ram is always a good thing with this game... However, I do not know if it will fix your issue.  I was having DirectX issues a while ago.  We tried to reinstall DirectX, but it kept telling us that it was already installed.  We ended up wiping the system and reinstalling DirectX from scratch.  No errors since then *knocks on wood*But you may have a different issue.  Without more info, no one can give you a definite answer.  Take a Peek at <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=353617" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> *** Read before posting ***</a> to see what info you can post so that others can get a better idea of your system...

Greetings,This sounds like a direct x issue, not a RAM issue.  Certainly some more RAM would help, but you might be better off waiting and buying another full gigabyte instead of buying 512mb.  I imagine your current 1gb is probably provided by 2x 512mb sticks and its always preferable to have all the RAM in the computer at the same size.Here's a link to the direct x download.  You may want to try re-installing this first.<a href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=cb7397f3-0949-487b-9247-8fee451bf952&DisplayLang=en" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...;DisplayLang=en</a>
