I've decided after 80 levels of inquisitor, to build myself a warlock alt, to take for long weekend drives with the roof down and stereo playing.I got the spellslinger to lvl40 so far and enjoying very much, the soloing old world named tripleups was very much fun.Now I want to know how to refine and masterclass the Warlock, squeeze it for every point of parse-breaking doom I can and would ask folks to offer your tips and hints to making a nuking lock that will really stand out. What are those tweeks and fine tuning you found made for a better lock?Thank you in advance of your help =)

For spells on my warlock alt, I'm just running with AP4's till he hits the 70's then I'll bother making them ad3's. Frankly he seems to level fairly quickly.

As to talent builds /sigh there really isn't alot of options atleast with the sorceror's line. I was really twiddling trying to figure out how to spend my points on my warlock line I LOVE focused casting got that early and it's really helped with encounters. Was thinking about after shock for the next one, although was kind of reluctant on propigations.

Thanks for the info/confirmation of what/where I'm spending my points.

not to try and downplay the importance of int and +spell damage, they are however the weakest modifiers for our overall damage output. You do not under any circumstances want to focus on one thing more than the other excluding crit, once you reach about 40% crit(assuming this is not a raiding or full-time raiding toon) start working on spell cast and reuse, + spell damage will come along with the other gear. I believe at the moment i have maybe +400 spell damage (which compared to a lot of people is very little). The other most important piece of advice I can give is be prepared to melt some plat for repairs, learning the best casting order etc is much better through experimentation and practice than reading someone else's.

Thanks for the advice folks, i'd taking the aa lines as recommended and getting down to learning a comfortable casting order ((ie, long fights, dots first as opposed to burning down with my nukes on quick kills). Casting time is my biggest annoyance and the thing i want to bring down as far as possible.Further Question: we seem to have alot of 'minor debilitation' spells that do a bit of power drain or weakness but don't seem to justify the casting times when I could be damaging. Do I just save these for a rainy day and a fat epic with many hps? only one i tend to use atm is once rooted, I hit with the one that weakens the target to disease. Getting the root n nuke down pretty well btw, tanked in runny eye a couple of days ago for a group when the mt linkdead.
