The only way to gain Vitality is to not use the skill that it is for. If you do not adventure, then you will slowly gain Adventure Vitality. If you do not craft, then you will gain crafting Vitality. There is no way to gain extra Vitality regardless of where you camp (unless there is an LoN card that grants it, this I do not know). However, if you quest a lot, the quests do not touch your vitality in either way. If you do Crafting writs, only the actual combines will use Vitality. If you adventure quests, only the actual defeat of the mobs will use your vitality....I hope that this helps a bit...

I did not know that about vitality. I learned something new today after playing for 2 and half years. Thanks.

You generate vitality at approximately 0.5% per real time hour. It is granted at the top of the hour. It takes about a week to generate a full vitality bar.

You generate vitality no matter what you're doing, online or off, adventuring, crafting, standing at the broker. It's just that when you're actively using it, it's not nearly as noticeable when you get that tiny bump.

There are two types: adventure and crafting. They are only tapped when you're gaining regular experience; i.e., killing mobs or crafting. Quest experience and discovery experience do not draw from vitality. Neither does adventuring pull from crafting vitality (and vice versa).

You can see how much vitality you have by mousing over the little gold (or purple for crafting) bulb at the end of your experience bar. If there's an arrow pointing off to the right, it means you have enough vitality to make it to the next level. If you don't, a little notch indicator will show up on your bar indicating how high you can get your experience with your current amount of vitality.

After about 2 years I think I have a pretty good grasp on the game, though I don't have an 80 yet.I'm currently 2boxing a brig/ward which are the culmination of all of my learning experiences...They're quickly leveling pass all the corpses of forgotten alts that are fading into the background.
