Hi. I have recently returned to Eq2 and have decided to pick up where I left off. The last thing I believe I was going to do was make this exact same post on the forums. I am slightly confused with stats. I had a friend tell me I needed to find balanced gear, that had +health, +power, +int, +wis, +str, +sta and +agi. How important is it to go with balanced gear as opposed to going with items loaded purely with +int, health, power and wis? What exactly does +sta do for us? I understand +int helps to hit harder (or at least thats what I was told) and wis helps with mobs resisting our spells. Is this true? Currently I am lvl 52, if this helps. As far as resists go, what should I mainly go for on my gear? Is any one more resist more important than another for us?Also, when soloing, what is the best cast sequence? When grouping, what is the best cast sequence?I apologize if this has already been answered somewhere. Thanks for your time.

Int increases the damage your spells deal, your wisdom increases your resists, your casting skills and spell quality(apprentice 4 vs. master 1) affect resistability. Balanced gear is better for the lower levels where you will be soloing a lot. There isn't a huge need to increase agi/str for you but sta/int are the two largest effect stats. STA increases your maximum hp, so gear with INT/STA/HP/PWR on it are what you should be focused on. Don't worry about resists. When grouping casting your larger nukes first(if it is a fast group) is better, if it is a slow group start with your DoTsSoloing, do not cast dots(except destruction!) root nuke, rinse repeat
