Something wrong with my game performance..

My specs:Intel core2duo E6600 2,4ghzAsus P5B mobo latest BIOS2x2048 corsair DDR2 + 2x1024 corsair DDR2 total 6gb ramAsus Geforce 8800 GTS 640mbLatest nvidia driverFresh vista 64 installationRunning native 1680x1050 resolutionIf I load extreme performance settings in eq2 I have around 20-30fps and 10-15 during raids.. Something has to be wrong with this because I ran Crysis at pretty much max at everything at decent framerates...Thing is I haven't reinstalled EQ2 since game launch, and I have reinstalled OS maybe twice since then, just kept the game dir and kept playing from that.. Im thinking I might need to completely reinstall the game(I tried deleting all .ini and .opt files but that didnt work either) but I dont have an installation DVD.. (When game launched a buddy in the US bought it for me and mailed the key and launchpad downloader .exe so I just installed through that, I didnt want to wait for swedish release).. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />This doesnt seem to be a vista issue as Ive always had bad performance even in XP32 before I installed vista 64 the other day..Recommendations? Do you have reuse vertex buffers checked in options->video->performance? There are known issues with the 8800 cards that they put that option in specifically to fix a month or so ago.

I checked it and restarted game, didnt do anything really.. Any idea what my performance should be with my rig? Should it be playable around 20fps or more on high quality in raids?This is Preed btw, just changed persona../ Ilaean

<p>Thats the only suggestion I could think of. You should definately be getting better performance I'd think, I get between 30-60 fps on my laptop on balanced settings. </p><p>Maybe one of the true gurus can help but most of them are probably playing over the weekend <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>
