Game quit(crash) when loading zone resource after update to ROK

System: WinXP, AMD Athlon 64(X2) 3600+, 2G DDR, NV7100GSAs a newbie of everquest2, I use the trial version for 2 weeks. Yesturday, I bought a cdkey of ROK, then activated my account.When I open the game again, there is an update to ROK. So I just left it updating itself, and come to game today.Unfortunately, I encountered a problem after this update, that is, the game quit(crash) when loading zone resource.I just select a character, then click play, wait. When status bar shows that the program is loading zone resource, the background music stops and restarts, then quit(crash).Many tries, update reset display option, update video card driver, create new character on other server. I still get the same result.Is there anyone have encountered same problem?

Same problem here.  And I don't have my sound turned on at all.

<p>same prob here, tying at the moment, to find out if it has anyhing to do with date/time setting.....but....we can only hope :-/</p><p>I only have the prob on my laptop not my desktop.</p>

I know after i updated to Rok I was having that problem. When I updated my sound drivers it worked. it wouldnt hurt to try right?

There are actually a lot of people having this problem-hopefully they will fix it soon.I was running eq2 fine up until this cursed patch.
