Hi All,

First off i would like to thank everybody on ALL these forums as for some one who plays on a very casual basis the information I have gathered for all my toons has been immense, and saved me a lot of time and effort in game.

Now for all those of you who have continued to follow my ramblings I would like a little of your time/advice as after much soul searching I have finally decided to stop flicking between toons (41 Coercer, 44 Dirge, 38 Defiler, 36 Paladin) and grind through the EQ2 content with my Paladin, as at the end of the day it was the first toon I created and most suits my playstyle/persona.

Therefore, at the age of 36 with only 17AA's (did not purchase expansions until recently) allocated to STA 448 as of last night I have the following probably noobie questions if some one has a moment to answer them:

1) Should i turn off combat XP and continue to quest/discover as my AA's are quite a way behind my current level, or will they just catch up naturally and not affect me too much in soloing/PUG's?

2) As I mostly solo and pick up the occasional group should I place my next AA's in STR rather than AGI for the haste over the AOE damage, or will I see the biggest bang from INT as I originally had them in this line but respecced to STA and find it much better at the minute.

3) Also finally i guess i can probably if I do not turn the combat XP off reach 448 in another KOS line before 50, and was wondering if at 50 and post I should stay on KOS for the DPS build of STR or AGI/STA/INT 448 or start pumping AA's in the EOF trees and come back to KOS later.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and keep up the good work everybody as fingers crossed I might make 80 before EQ3 arrives lol.

Wytewolf 36 Paladin on Splitpaw.

if you are grouping then you may want to turn off combat xp for a bit and let your aa's catch up, however, it is really quite easy to get aa's, and you will likely find yourself capped at 100 long before you reach level 70. soloing and doing quests you will get your aa's much faster than just killing mobs wherever so if that is your primary playstyle, i would say don't worry about the aa's

the paladin aa tree should be a no-brainer, hero/wrath, if you are soloing quite a bit probably get the cast timer/power reduction heal aa's

for the crusader tree, everyone has their own ideas, but very popular before RoK was 448 str agil sta int this gave nice haste, aoe autoattacks, melee and spell crits.

most in the RoK level ranges are using some variant of str sta int.

be sure to /join crushbone.paladinsforright for some real-time advice on the class

I wouldn't worry too much about the AA's, but if you want to catch them up fast, rather than turn off xp, you should mentor groups in areas where you can complete lower level quests and kill named which you didn't get before.

Don't worry about AA xp. Even if your mostly doing dungeons with no quests, they will catch up eventually. When soloing make sure your working on quests. Do not grind solo mobs for no reason.

The crusader AA tree is far more benificial than the paladin tree. Spend your 50 points here before you start spending points in the paladin tree. Stamina line is probably the single most benificial tree that we have. After that, int and str are incredibly popular. At your levels, agility is also a good line for DPS. Eventually, as you approach t7 agility stops being very benificial. At t8 there are enough fearing mobs that wis becomes slightly desirable, though very situational.

If your looking for a solid build, go sta to the top and then either str or int and once you hit 70 adventurer the rest of your 20 points into the one you didn't pick before.

The paladin tree, hero line. After that...pick two. Wraiths and healing are probably the stronger two lines to follow but the support line isn't totally without some merit.
