View Full Version : Master 1 undying Adherent

Anyone have a good place to farm for this? or is the drop extremely rare?

I purchased Adept1 version and noticed an extreme difference from app1? Is it worth farming for the master1 or just find someone to make adept3?

I guess the same could be said for Swarm of Rats my dumbfire pet? Is something higher then Adept1 needed?

I took Lifetap for Master 2 and my 2 dots are at adept 3 as well. Do i need to upgrade anything else significantly?

Should have posted this in the Necro Forum.

IMO: Adept1 = AppIV < Adept3 = Master1 The difference is too small to justify the additional $$

You'll have better luck getting the rare harvest for the Adept 3 than getting the Master, and for not all that much gain. If you later find the Master and can still use it, consider it a small bonus.

As a general rule, a necromancer's pet should /never/ be below adept3. There is a massive difference between the adept1 version and the adept3 version. Not only does it look cooler, but it also has better stats and all the combat arts/spells it uses will be of adept3 quality which means less resists for the mage.

In the early levels (before level 60) masters for the pets are not really needed unless you want your pet to look like a complete bad [Removed for Content]. That being said, I really want the master for my diseased servant...

After you've gotten your pets to ad3, I suggest you then upgrade their stances, your single target lifetap, single target dot and go from there. Don't bother taking the dooming darkness line past app4, it's a waste of money for such a fundamentally broken (the dot is broken along with the sanre by damage) spell. The aoe lifetap is always a good chice because it does a lot of damage, but you have to get within aoe range to really use it well, so be careful.

I saw it (the M1) drop off Lord Gulgax (or Rulgax or whatever its name is) in the "south instance" in Runnyeye. I was even on my necro at the time. But so was someone else in group and he won the roll

I never had any trouble using the AD3 at that level though.

He moved his question to the necro forums, but those were very helpful posts.
