Verify Class ID

When logging into the game today I got the following warning from my sfaety program Verify Class ID is trying to connect to the internet (through launchpad.exe)Is this a Sony Program or have I picked up something 'bad'?

<p>Your new safety program sounds like a CLSID guard program - it will block ports by default as well amongst other things.</p><p>All it's doing is scanning executables that are run and it does't know what they are until you say whether it's good or bad.</p><p>Just allow it. launchpad.exe is ours, yes.  As is lp2.exe if that comes across.
