Again i m having a problem after the patch. I will restate it. I first installed the electronic version of the game using the standardmethod. I logged in on a us server asked in ooc where and how i could play on storm and getting a answeri did what i was told. I then had to wait many hours since most of the game was downloaded again (mainly sound files that i don't use since i play without sound). At that point i found out that below Eq2 main directory the patcher created a subdirectory containing the french part of client. So i see 2 eq2 applications (1 in E2 one in Eq2/EQ_server_FR) 2 patchers. Each time there is a patch i run into problems, maily the french client won't be patched.I tried using the 2 patchers, launching the 2 applications and did force a full file check. I launched them with root permissions.Currently i can only log on english servers, attempt to log on storm all lead to a missmatch between client and server. So could you actually solve that problem, correct YOUR BUGor tell me what to do.Do you even have a dual language test instalation ? according to me NOsince what is happening there is fully deterministic.I was asked system information and stupid things like that, i know quite a bit in computer science and i can tell you that the problem is not there. The problem lies 1) either somewhere in the MESSY choices you did to support multilanguage.I understand that multi language support was probably added afterward and not part of the initialdesign, this explain the weird and unefficient current design. But the least wold be to make it work. 2) either in the error message, may be storm is not yet ready to work with patched clients but in that case ...i know that when servers are down we ge a login error message which in a sense prove how badly polished is Eq2.Well there is even a simpler solution, allow people to play on storm with the english client. At least that way they won't be asked to kill "wolf skins" instead of gathering 10 skin from "ashe wolves"and the moonfish you need in a recipe won't be found at the broker under the name sunfish... i know that the technical team is not liable at all for the countless translation errors, but mey be you could see if an english client can connect to a french server. If things have been designed properly the client server communication is language independant and it is probably possible.
