Cure for the Blight

<p>So the sickness has spread all over Freeport (I'm evil.)  Headed to Gorowyn to speak with the Prophet of Disease.  Finished a mega short quest and rec'd the book "The Shepherd of the Celestial Watch."  No clues in the book about a next step.  Qeynos offered nothing for my kind.</p><p>What's the deal?</p>

in qeynos we had to speak to a lil old lady npc near the mobs that you had to speak to to update the book quest, then you go into vermins snye to hunt infected mobs to update lil old ladys quest, its called "the vermins plague".Anyone familiar with the plague from 2005 will remember this same questline, or very similar....I am currently encamped in vermins snye attempting to get updates, scorpius were easy to find, but burrowers and vermin are not showing up ANYWHERE in the zone, nor on tracking. Not sure if they are just overfarmed atm on my server or what, but its frustrating trying to update this.

then i cant seem to find the quest starter for the next step, cause I have done the book quest, and I never saw the vermin snye quest till this event. And i did some checking and this quest also was used in 2004/05 when the blight was first introduced.There is a walkthrough to the old quest line somewhere if it follows the exact same questline as the old plague did.EDIT: Te next step is to go find blighted people in your towns main areas ( nq or sq or eg in qeynos that i can confirm), then go to the temple of life in nq and speak to the seeress inside the temple. She gives you a potion that you must test on one of the blighted people *for me this part was a pita because everyone on ab is doin this quest and i mean literally people are sitting in front of blighted ppl and as soon as they repop tabbing and hotbared the potion keyed it up as soon as it spawns*. After you test this first vial you find it did not work. Go back to nq to the temple of life and speak to the seeress, she then gives you a 2nd vial of potion something 92c, you must now go test it on a blighted person, you find it works, you must do this to 11 more blighted ppl (12 total). Then go back to the temple of life for your reward.At this point you can repeat this part of the quest, but so far no one on ab has found any further quests to continue the event so we dunno. Maybe the next part isn't in yet.Speculation is this is sorta a teaser for the next expansion or something.

it dosent, talk to one of the blighted people around town, needs to be one that gives responce options. talk to one of them then you are flagged to do the live event. no need to do the rat quest

I think talking to one of the infected people standing around triggers the next step in the series. I had talked to the lady in the temple of life and only on my second visit did she have a quest feather.

what happens after you get done the curing blighted step and get your reward? I cannot find any further questgiver/eventupdater.

So i did this quest and I picked the wrong reward, i didnt see that i could choose the weapon from the tier before me and the tier after me. so I made the mistake and wanted the one that i just needed a few more levels to use. Can u upgrade the weapons anyhow?  If not I hope SoE will let me switch it =(

For us evil people you have to alk to the PRiest for Bertox to get the other step. He gave me a rod to spread the disease and then u find that some are immune still and he gives u a stronger rod to infect healthy people with then u have to get 12 of them ti infect. That is all i have done so far but it is there.

My lvl 52 conj did the quest yesterday..  Her reward were the weapons.. She had 2 lvl choices to pick from.. lvl 45 or lvl 55 weapons.  I guess since she was in the middle of what they offered, they offered both choices -- a weapon for now or one for use in a few levels.

I took a level 15 one instead of a 25 (and I was level 24 at the time!), then noticed with another character later that I could have taken the 25. Now I feel silly... It would be nice if we could upgrade or trade them for the next tier as we level... even if we had to do another quest for it. I bet they could modify the third quest (the repeatable one) so that you could upgrade it. Wait, the reward for the evil quest is a nice book, but for the good quest you only get some weapon?

except that the dagger weapon and the hammer weapon look exactly alike. and i would have preferred a green misty glow like hrath has around him rather then flies. oh well, kinda makes up for it with all the need a hand jokes i can do now.

The book must be only for good characters, because sneaking into it with my FP char got me just the weapon.Also you do NOT have to stay in NQ for the healing. There are infected people all over the city. Move around!Will have to check out the evil side of things.

book is for everyone. i have it on my necro by doing the evil version.

(diff toons, of course.  cant do both with same character.  wont let you)</p><p>not hard to figure out or do ... you just can't expect to be led around by the hand through every single step of the process in order to complete both parts of each quest (book part and weapon part).</p>

I did the quest on the evil side and I'm now surrounded from flies.How do I get rid of them?
