For your 20's you can go to Butcherblock Mountains, Thundering Steppes and Nektulos Forest for overland zones. You may want to take a peek at the Solo Timelines for a "when to go where" outline.

I guess what i should have asked was, when i decide what area to go to, should i go back to the beginning or should i start somewhere in the middle. Also, can the tradeskill material gathering quest be repeated? or no?

After perusing the EQ2 wiki site and reading through the Armor quest line...is it just me or is the armor from that stuff a serious downgrade from TD stuff? I'm sure it's worth it to do it just for the Xp, but the armor looks to be pretty bad, atleast for Wizard.

Going down the Sta line I have a bit more mitigation than a few other classes might, but I guess I could get it even higher, just looking at the huge loss of stats makes me sad

Armor Quest armor is far inferior to mastercrafted armor. I'd recommend harvesting everything! harvest while you travel, while you heal up between fights, while you wait for group members. For all classes, harvesting is a fabulous way to get rares to gear up with. Most crafters will work for you at the cost of fuels plus a tip if you provide the raws. Any extra rares you don't need sell on the broker... it's the fastest way to get rich.Rare roots are used to make mastercrafted cloth armor. Rare hard metals make chain and plate armors, plus some symbols. Rare leathers make leather armor and belts and tomes. The rare soft metals get made into fighter/scout jewelry, or into caster Adept 3 spells. The rare gemstones get made into mage/priest jewelry or into priest Adept 3 spells. Rare loams get made into fighter/scout Adept 3 spells, and the dusts you get as a by-product get made into potions or poisons. For a plate tank, you always want the best armor you can lay hands on - the big stat is MIT, followed usually by STR, then other stats depending on your class and AA choices. For mages, sink your first effort into upgraded spells. They're as important to you as armor is to the tank! Get some nice mastercrafted cloth armor, and some good jewelry.

What is the TD Armor Quest? Or are you talking about all the various teen level quests in TD that give out various pieces of armor as rewards.

I did a Google search and now think you are talking about an Armor Quest that is started in Qeynos (for Q anyway), and not an armor quest in Timorous Deep.

The Qeynos/FP armor quests are good for tanks, because they have better mitigation than you can get elsewhere. In terms of stats, they are a small downgrade from TD, in exchange for higher mitigation.Mastercrafted is the best for soloers, of course.
