Hey everyone, I'm very new to Everquest 2, and new to the Brigand class. I just hit level 11, and I now have to choose where to start on my Rogue Achievements.I don't know what "tree" to go down. I know Strength is +damage, and I'm leaning towards putting the point in that. Anyone have suggestions on what line I should go?Also, what profession should I go with? I've heard some people say Alchemist and I've heard others say Jeweler. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

I believe a popular first line is AGI, so you can get walk the plank. It turns the mob the opposite direction. By rank 4 that will let you get off 2 positional attacks. You would then go down the line to get the last one, which reduces the reuse timer of your combat arts. I went STR first, and just yesterday earned enough points for Walk the Plank. I would have definitely went with Walk the Plank had a known better. Plus who doesn't want to be a Pirate? I do crit a ton, though, and its not like its hard to solo as a brigand. Each his own, imo.I'm not sure if any Brigand trees are worth a darn. They all look pretty lame to me.

I am not going to say which is the best route to take. Everyone has their own opinions. I can tell you what I did though.

I went all the way down the AGI line first. Walk the plank and Sailwind are nice to have. Then I went down the STR line only to max out Blackguard's Luck for crits. With my left over AAs I went down the STA line just far enough to get the Swear taunt. I chose that mainly because I duo a lot with a Defiler so that helps keep the agro on me. I did the Rogue achievements first as they seem to be better than the Brigand achievements. With the Brigand line I am currently working on Potency achievements which seems to be working well.

As for a crafting trade, I chose Armorer. I am of the opinion that your crafting choice is kind of irrelevant. All crafting professions have the potential to make money on the broker thus allowing you to have an income and buy the other items that you may need but are unable to craft yourself. Plus if you join a guild, there would be other crafters readily available to make items for you, provided you supply the rares and fuel.

Best of luck and welcome to the Brigand community

Thanks a ton guys! I will definitely be going down the Agi tree. I'm still deciding on a Profession, but leaning towards Armorer (I really like the fact that I could make my own armor, instead of buying it off the Broker for insane prices).

Str or Agi. I went Str when i lvled my Brig. The defence alows for a much easier soloing experience while grinding and the Crits are priceless at low lvls. But it is a matter of taste.

As for tradeskill choices as a scout it is definitly benifitial to have one that contours to your needs. If you chose wisely can save you tons of money at End game and possibly gain alot of money aswell. Normally I would recomend Alchy for a brig but if you plan on maxing your toon out in endgame content the new choice is weaponsmith.

Temp adorns (weaponsmith) are really expensive and being able to make them yourself can save you tons of plat. If you plan on not maxing your toon out go alchy and you can supply yourself with mastercrafted poisions and potions cheaply (these don't tend to be that expensive on the broker but are constantly used).
