I have been working on a guardian alt for a while, and I notice that all the threads that really deal with this issue are old. What is a good DPS spec for a guardian who spends most of his time soloing? I have heard good things about the buckler spec (currently str: 4-4-4. sta: 4-4-7).Just not sure what end build should be.... trying to figure that out. Anyone have any ideas?

Str: 4,4,8Sta: 4,4,8,8Int: 4,7,8,8,2Something like that. Some people like belly smash from wis line for soloing... but I'm not one of those people. For the guardian tree, pretty much get block, double attack, riposte reduction, and throw the rest into rescue/reinforcement.

From a 90% soloist and 10% set group when we all get together, I was 4/4/8 in Str, Sta and Int before RoK. I added 8 to Int and 8 to Sta. On the Guardian page, I worked down Slaughtering to get more double attack and increase damage, and am now working down Crippling to increase debuffs.

Was thinking that solo the best defense is more offense so I didn't blow a ton in Stalwarting just to get block, but YMMV
