Mystery of the Disappearing Cast Bar

<p>Greetings Everquest II Community,</p><p> Recently upon logging into my wizard, I cast a buff spell, and noticed that my casting bar had shrunk to a mere fraction of the size it originally was. Perplexed, I hit F10 a few times until the  border appeared around the edges of the cast bar, and I was shocked to see its outline was typical size. I tried to extend the cast bar, but alas, even when unlocked it wouldn't let me resize it.  I logged out and back in, hoping for an easy fix. When I logged back in, my cast bar had disappeared entirely! It doesn't show for spells, harvesting, or the looting of world items.  Does <b><i><u>anyone</u></i></b> know how to bring the cast bar back?I've tried loading other characters on the same computer, and viola! The cast bar is the correct size and where it should be. I can load my wizard on a different computer, and the cast bar is there. The problem seems to be entirely localized to my wiard specifically, and only on one computer.  I'd really like to avoid re-downloading the entirety of EQ2, all suggestions are greatly appreciated.</p>

Try casting a spell, right clicking on the window while it's casting, and going to window properties.  Then lock it.  I think that should keep it from moving.

I guess I should have elaborated. When I logged back in hoping for the easy fix after initally casting, the black outline box for the cast bar had also disappeared when I hit F10. I can't find the bugger to manipulte its ptoperties.

If it's working fine on another character, sounds like your uisettings.ini file is corrupt for that character.Log into the character with the problem, and use /load_uisettings to load the settings from a character that is working properly.
