I just finished running around JW and seeing what Sony nerfed for us and from what i see all Cockatrice and all mobs with Danak in name (except those fighting at battlements) are no longer charmable. The sablecrest mobs are also not charmable. Is this your way of forcing more usage of Essence? We are nerfed badly enough with the previous RoK mobs being uncharmable and now you pull this. It would be nice if Aeralik would explain how he is buffing the Coercer class by trying to sneak in all of the stealth nerfs. Another nerf is the Spell Lash line dmge. If Aeralik would explain what the Coercers job is supposed to be since the description of the coercer "Master of domination, Coercers can subjugate the mind of another, taking complete control and forcing an unwitting creature to do their bidding." is be invalidated by all of the nerfs to charmable mobs in the game. Are we being set up to be nothing more than an evil gimped copy of Illusionist? Being an illusionist you also get some quality Illusions unlike the gimped evil version who gets 2. The Illusionist gets a perm pet. Now the gimped evil version is being given a copy of the same pet spell and having their class defining charm slowly nerfed out of existance. Illusionist do some nice damage and now the coercer is supposedly being brought up to level of that but it remains to be seen if the further nerfs will allow that to be. Simply put all Aeralik is doing is trying to make an evil copy of illusionist and nothing more, had the charm line been left alone then we could have thought this was for the benefit of the class but alas nerfs to the class defining spell proves otherwise.I was looking forward to this LU but now I am extremely apprehensive at what other stealth nerfs are going to be snuck in on us.

Have you checked to see if that's how it is in live right now, or just now noticing by trying to charm anything other than a fay-drake?

Alright, here's what I've noticed, bouncing back and forth between test and live. Cockatrices are not charmable in live, either. Not sure if they ever were so....*shrugs*

I do see where they made a lot more of Danak's mobs uncharmable, but not sure why. Granted, these are mobs I normally wouldn't charm anyways because they don't do a whole lot and break often so I don't see how this is a huge huge loss, just admittedly annoying that this is snuck in without much word. I wouldn't go putting on tin foil hats over this though.

Cockatrice's havent been able to be charmed for awhile now. I remember when I leveled to 80 I had to use Rhino's or Cats.

Many considered the Danak Spellbinders (I think that is their name, the 83^^^ casters at the shipyard itself) to be the pet of choice in JW, so this is a setback for them. Personally I have other mobs I like, which from testing last night are still charmable.
