I was wondering if any one else had the same issues as me, and thought this may be a good idea? If so, please send feedback to the devs. I have been doing so for a while now, and still no joy I keep asking if torches can be made usable from inventory the same way as harvesting tools are now? the need for extra stats obtained from charms over-rides the need for a torch especially at higher levels, but sadly this detracts from the intended graphic enjoyment of the game. it leaves images flat and washed-out. this is truly a shame as all the hard work gone into creating the amazing visuals presented in the game, is lost.I truly don't believe the devs would create a graphically beautiful world, rich in texture and colour, and then simply refuse to do something as simple as making the torch usable from inventory. This would be a real shame, and a massive oversight on behalf of SOE's team.Is it just me, or does the torch make as much difference to others? I find it really enhances the appearance of all objects, characters etc, spent a fortune on graphic cards etc, only to loose all that vibrance as I refuse to lose an extra charm. Please send feedback too if you feel this way

I like the idea...but few things:

If you don't adjust your lighting settings, then torches could create some lag for people with older systems...

PVP, OMG, have you ever seen someone stealthed but have a torch equipped? LOL it's hilarious to watch the little lightsource running around off in the distance then follow the guy who thinks no one can see him...except he has this giant glowing area following him...LOL easy pwnage right there...

But yeah...would be nice for it to work from your bags, although I haven't even bothered with them unless I need a screenshot for a sig or something in years...

I miss my Greater Light Stone. I don't want to equip a level 20 heritage quest for a light source. They need to put light sources into armor, just like my Celestial Fists had a Greater Light Stone light source comming from them.

I haven't played PvP, but thanks for the heads up when I do lol

The thing is it would be nice to be able to have the option and not have to equip it in a charm slot, especially during Norrathian thunderstorms!!

If it interfered with graphics etc, it could be disabled/cancelled if it was like the harvesting tools 'buff'

Perhaps it would be a good idea to have light sources in armor as cusashorn says, but the torch usable from inventory would probably be easier to implement??

I carry my Shiny Brass Shield whenever it's too dark to see.. Kind of like my flashlight. But that still takes up a slot (offhand). I'm kind of torn between wether or not I'd like inventory torches. Fact of the matter is, if I'm outside carrying things and I walk into a dark cave with said things, I'm going to have to shift my load to carry a flashlight. Since EQ2 is MOSTLY reality based, having to perform such a swap in game fits pretty well...

Granted, it's been some time since I last used a torch, but last time I did, torches did work from the inventory, just not while in a bag.

I'm all for adding light sources to certain equipment. It just seems natural that something that's magically enchanted would give off even a small "shimmer" of light.Of course, playing an Iksar in EQ1 I got quite used to the permanent Infravision, and here I don't even get that.
