Numbers look good to me, though I only have a lvl 43 Brigand. Also on the Kithicor server,   look up Kahan.    We advance so fast in these low levels, I suggest you avoid playing the mix/max game worrying about your stats.   In a week of casual play you will be in an entire different tier of items.    I honestly wouldn't start to worry to much about your gear until you get into the 50+ game.   Just pick up the crafted armor you can afford for your tier, rare or common.   Pick up the best weapons you can afford, even at the cost of lowering your armor.   Get app4 or AD1 for your spells.   The low levels just fly by too fast to invest too much time, effort, or coin doing the min/max numbers game.

Something to keep in mind,  the lvl 32 Rare chain armor is only a few points lower than the lvl 42 rare chain armor,  and LOTS cheaper as the T5(lvl42) rare metal (ebon) is highly sought after.   The T4 rare metal... not so much.    I plan to use the lvl 32 rare chain armor until I hit 52. Then it's all Cobalt. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />FYI,  I also have a lvl 80 armorer on Kithicor if you need help.

The more out of whack the level range is for armor the more it hurts you. Example: versus a lvl 32 mob that piece of armor might give 7.2% mitigation, but versus a lvl 47 mob it gives only 5.8%. Multiply that by 7 and the difference becomes ~51% mitgation versus 41% actual (and gets worse as you face even higher mobs).

That is True.   But at this low of a level the net effect is minor.   Add to it that I have hard time keeping my defense and parry skills capped each level because I rarely her hit as it is.  If you go into a battle planning to tank, I suggest a new strat for the mob or a new group. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" />   I'll suffer through a few levels of nerfed mitigation in order to save a few plat for the cobalt armor I'll be getting in about a week.

Next LU (45) bloodmetal armor is getting reworked. I'm not sure what the new stats will be, but its suppose to be better than ebon. If you don't have mostly faesteel armor I'd suggest picking up any cheap bloodiron you can find now or cheap blood iron chain you can find on the broker. I think the test update notes said something about existing armor being upgraded.
