I feel the squire is pointless. I think it would be cool if the Developers made it to where One: Are squires could carry some of are stuff depending on what lvl. we were, not exceeding 3 slots. We could get a extra slot fore every 3 lvls we gain or whatever. This would be good because a squires job is to carry & fetch. . .Two: Are redeveloped squires could fetch use stuff to buy that is on the NPC merchant market, such as food & water. The way it could work is if you were in a zone & ran out of food you would have to supply your squire with the coin fore the food or drink on a drop down list fore what it would cost, plus a finders fee to him. No you couldn't get it back. Then he would teleport out. Then 5min. later he would be back with what ever we sent him to get. He could only hold so many stacks of what ever as well. . .Three: Are squires could do some combat help as well, nothing big, just fore looks. Now last it would be nice if my squire stayed the same random model choice. Instead of changing after every zone load in. . . .

If the developers change it to something useful then they better be ready to do it for every other fluff spell for every class... and I rather see them fix more important issues than working on fluff spells...

Yeah the squire is just there to stand around and look vacant and confused. If you gave the spell any real function you would have to revamp every other classes fluff spells with useful/semi useful functions.

I miss the good old days when you could cast the avoidance and defense buff spell on your squire so you could use it while soloing. (I also miss warding while moving and having a ranged DOT)

But even if these are just fore looks as Fluff spells, what ever that means. There must have been any number of things that just had a look that would have been more appropriate then a living entity. Plus he changes appearance every time I zone. So even the look is killed fore the Paladin fluff spell. And what are the other fluff spells fore the other classes by the way?

I think it would be hilarious if the squire were a VVV scalable pet ala mystic's dogdog.

At the start of every fight he could charge in front and die, or die from AOEs since there would be no protection.

I think I'd name him Kenny.

I use mine to pull a lot.I'd probably name mine Kenny or Bait.

I was mad when they turned the squire into being bound to your gender...I miss summoning a hawt chick to follow me around

But him charging into battle pretentiously is a good idea. Then he could get killed every time. He could have vocal dialog with Christian Slater doing the voice over "Master! I'll protect you. With my mighty steel blade & cunning"... But I don't see any reason not to give all the other classes a little content to their Fluff spells. As long as there is little benefit. And we all already know that SoE isn't likely to do anything except throw their Nerf ball around. But I can still dream......

Paly's as it is get off lucky with fluff spells (the horse we get, although they nerf it beyond usefullness).Your squire has one and only one ability, the ability to stand around useless and watch you die...
