Is there any way to change double-click to single-click for race selection and examining selection?--seeing how I'm bad with my hands...'

Which part are you loking to change exactly? Are you talking about the character creation?I thought during character creation, you just clicked your race and then clicked next.

Just click on the race and it selects it.

For character creatioin, when choosing your race the races require a double click for selection, and gender selection, and when examing an item the action selection, and the keyboard repeat rate, OMG!!!!!!!! Ya see, when i pay $15/m I expect a comfortable game

I believe I've noticed what you're referring to, although on my machine it feels more like some sort of lag rather than a need to double click. There are times when a single click works just fine, and others that I find myself repeatedly clicking on another race to change it from one to the other. My guess would be that it's server related since I don't have lag issues anywhere else in the game. Not much of a help, but at least maybe someone knows what you're referring to.

There is alot of double clicking in most games. I am really surprised that you found anything that you are "comfortable" with.

But EQ2 has a "right-click" menu pop up for most of their windows so I guess you could navigate easily once you are in game. Good Luck

The character, race and gender selection buttons only require a single click, although I have also noticed somewhat of a delay between when the click occurs and when the screen reacts and actually changes the display. For instance when you change the gender from male to female you have to wait a moment while the PC swaps all the male race thumbnails & the displayed avatar out with female race thumbnails and avatar. When you change race the default it has to change the avatar. Have you tried clicking only once and then waiting a second or two to see if the selection registers?

In regard to your difficulty with double-clicking, have you tried one of the mice with the built in thumb button? Usually this button defaults to an automated double-click. You click it once with your thumb and it sends a double-click to the PC. I've noticed that most trackballs have the same button as well. I used to love mine back in my Asheron's Call days when I was crafting infused arrows for my toons. (Many, many subcombines and LOTS of doubleclicking). It's great for folks prone to carpal tunnel or with less than ideal reflexes. I'm not sure of the scope of your impairment but looking into one of these mice or perhaps a trackball might improve things for you.
