Hi all, I have come back to EQ2 from the declining game called WoW. I have started a Swashbuckler and have been doing some crafting. My question is, what is the best path to take at lvl 10 for crafting?

I was thinking maybe the path that makes potions but really not sure. Anyway I am gonna surf the net some more to see if there is some info.

THX

pretty much whatever you want to make...it is pretty handy to be an alchemist so you can make your own poisons tho. in the end, its all about preference and no matter what you choose, its still boring as hell and i recommend a close friend or family member be on suicide watch.

This question has come up before and most will say alchemist for the poisons & potions. However, I always suggest considering going with jeweler. You can make money as a jeweler (though you probably would do better as an alchemist), but if you're primarily an adventurer then crafting won't be how you make money anyway. As a jeweler not only can you make your own jewelry, you can make your own adept III spells - which will give you the powder you need for the poisons.

As a jeweler, I make adept III's for just the cost of the fuel (and for guildies, I won't even charge that) as long as the rare is provided. For each adept I make, I get 2 powders which I then give to a guildy to make poisons (for basically the cost of the fuel). I have a decent enough stockpile of t7 powders that I'm not worried about running out of poisons anytime soon.

I really don't use that many potions, so that's not a consideration for me. However, I do go through a lot of poisons, so not having to pay for the powders needed for the poisons is a big plus for me. (And being able to make my own adept III's and jewelry at my convenience is nice, too).
