I have three chat windows, Chat, Game, and Loot. I have Level 70-79 chat in Chat, along with group, say, raid, guild, tell, ooc, shout and other chat selections.

However I often find it has been selected in one of my other chat windows when I switch to it. Last night I found Level 70-79 active in my Loot window after I had shut it down in my Chat window because it had too much volume. I never select the various level chat channels in my Loot and Game windows and I'm always careful when turning it on in my Chat window to make sure I'm doing it in the right window.

Yet the game sometimes turns it on in windows I don't want it. Can we get the chat channels to stick to the windows we assign them? I use the tabs in the chat window to select the one I want foremost.

One thing I've found with tabs and chat channels is that there's some nasty interactions. Normally the game wants a channel active on only one tab, and it wants all channels you've subscribed to active on a tab or unsubscribed from. How I got around it was to add "chat_allowduplicatechannels 1" to eq2.ini. Then I created an "A" tab as the first (leftmost) tab in my chat window, subscribe to all channels I want there and make sure all subscribed channels are checked on that tab. Then I go and check whichever channels I want in the other tabs. When I log into the game after that, then, it'll drop my subscriptions into the "A" tab (which should have everything anyway) and not disturb the selections in the other tabs.

This happens to me every single time.

I have Parse in it's own tab/window. But when I log in, it is in my main window. I then need to uncheck it, change tabs, rejoin it. But wait it still shows in the main window, so I go back and uncheck it again from the main window and yay it is finally right. /sigh
