Ooohh.... This is pretty good. There is only one thing I will be nitpicking and that is the cloth on the picture you posted here look a little too modern for a race that is usually associated with more medieval times. But then again maybe she is from a modern fantasy world and is wandering around in a forest. In that case the picture is perfect. Can't wait to see more of your work.

Wow, very nice work! The ones on your DA site are very good too. I wish I could do that kind of stuff.

Thanks for the kind words so far. I have to admit I've only been doing this for a couple weeks now, but I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Kahlef - I, unlike some, will take any criticism of my work. I'm still in a learning process with this stuff, and want to do what I can to make my works the best I can make them. I will agree about the texture and the style of the outfit, but I'm kinda limited in what I can use, so I make the best out of what resources I have. However, you would think that, in 500 years, fashions in Norrath would have evolved as any fashion would.

Zaurus - Hey, if I can do it, anyone can. The last art class I had was around 30 years ago, in my freshman year of high school, and I almost failed it. The nice part is that the program I use is free, most of the additions either came with the program or were available free (the outfit and hair were the purchased items), and getting to the point where I was in polish mode (model set, clothed and posed, basic lights and scenery in place) didn't take very long at all. The long part was getting things just so.

Any future creations that are EQ2 inspired, I'll show here first (as long as they're appropriate for the forums; if not, I'll put a link and warnning.) Everything else (and the EQ2 stuff) will appear on my DA site as well.

That is fine. Frankly, I think people who do their best to work within their limitations and have the guts to show their work to the public are cooler than people who have unlimited resources and never release anything because it is not "perfect". I also agree about the fashion. I guess the people of Qeynos and Freeport were too busy all those years looking angry at each other to worry about fashion. And the other cities were busy with... whatever they were busy with.

Ooohh... That is pretty cool. It looks a lot like the Blacked Iron Armor.Though by the scene I am not sure if she is a Shadow Knight being blinded by the light or a paladin trying to reach the light.

Oooo - I love, LOVE the second one.Hmm - just trying to place my finger on it though... the light beams and positioning of her hand maybe? From how she is squinting, if the upper most beam was harder, and the hand cast some shadow, both over the face and on areas on the blocking hand itself - could add some contrast to emphasize the beam's focus/intensity.I don't know - just some thoughts - it looks wicked.

Two things that might help that picture out (not that I'm not digging the interpretations so far ):

1. She's a paladin.

2. Think Stormhold. (Where her and I spent many, many, many hours in our mid-20s. LOL)

Aaahh, I see! The background does look like the entrance to Stormhold. Then I guess the scene goes like this:After spending days inside a place with almost no light at all, she finally goes out in the light of the day. Suddenly she falls to her knees and shouts "Aaaahh! The light! The light! It burns my eyes!"

Internal Struggle is now up. Feel free to have a look. It is a more mature image, so be warned.

BTW, I have a small confession to make. While I did most of the work on these, it wasn't alone. I've gotten a lot of help and correction from Namahree along the way, and for that she has my undying gratitude. (Though, her work isn't done yet...No, sir! )

The Redux version of Valorous Determination looks pretty cool. I liked the change to lightning and the armor texture. The armor now has a more "used" feel to it, indicating many battles were fought with it. Just the expression doesn't look as good as the original one, in my opinion. It is more... neutral, unlike the first one.Internal Struggle is interesting too. Such a peaceful expression but such things often hide so much more that goes inside a person. Specially for a paladin who has to do an endless battle against evil.Good work again!

(The only thing I was able to save that was custom was the pose, which was important.) It also gave me the opportunity to use a character morph that seemed more suited to the subject. Unfortunately, I tried very hard to recreate the expression, but the morph just didn't lend itself to the original. It actually looked more rabid than determined. So, I went with a more neutral expression.

On Struggle, if you look at her face (it shows better in the thumbnail above without the distractions LOL), you can see that all is not entirely peaceful with our paladin.

Got a new one up, The Teacher, and this one is rather special. It's dedicated to my mentor in all this, Namahree.

Feel free to go have a peek, and then heap your blessings of consolation on her for having to deal with me.

Ooohhh... I like it. Good choice of background and the way you posed them really looks like it is a teacher teaching something. Or just two good friends talking. Depends on how people see it. Either way, this is a really nice piece of work.

Have added some links to new images (will hopefully get some thumbnails in there as I can.) A couple items to note:

- On the EQ2 inspired ones, those are of actual characters that play. Melinya is my warden, Emiliah, Faewin and Cici are members of the guild I'm in. The image "Paladin of Halas" is based directly on the signature of Sigrdrifa from the LDL server. (I think I blindsided her with that one, actually. )

- The other new ones listed may not be directly related to EQ2, but are in a similar setting and each has a small story. Trio and Trio 2 are essentially the same group, just different looks in scenery. Trio 2 is being published eventually. Trio was also used on the Vanguard boards during a discussion of equipment looks (which recently changed in that game) and I got some pretty positive comments.

Anyway, enjoy the new stuff and, as always, I greatly appreciate any comments or feedback.
